MEETING THE KING 2

Amber! I kept screaming in my head.
His eyes were like a burning furnace that drew me in. His jawline were so sharp that they could cut glass and his lips were so plump and luscious.

"What's your name?" He asked.

I was a shaking mess as i kept apologizing to him, but he didn't say a word and kept staring at me.

"I don't like repeating my self maid"
This time around he shouted and that was when I remembered that i haven't answered him when he asked for my name.

Ire...ne, my name's Irene my lord I stuttered.

Irene, he called. It was like he was tasting my name on his tongue. The way he said my name sent shivers down my spine.

I want you to look at me when I'm talking to you and I haven't seen you around. Are you new here?

Yes I answered. "Good now get out."
What? He glared at me with hard eyes and i scampered away from there almost immediately.

Oh I thought you were never going to come out. You kept me standing here.
I hope you didn't do anything wrong in there? Freya asked, almost glaring at me after deliberating making me go into the lion's den.

Telling her I didn't and running off, I found myself at another section of the castle. I've never seen this place before, but Zaya gave me a tour of the whole castle other than the east wing, why wasn't i shown around here?
Not wanting the thought to bother me, I decided to keep walking until I found myself in a big library.
The library was spotless with no speck of dust. I was trying to reach out to a book at the highest shelf when i heard something.

"Yes, it is exactly as you've said. I'm sure the girl named Irene is a strange one, I can't even read her mind. It's like there's something blocking me from entering just same as the king."

Freya I thought. That was freya voice and there's no mistaking it. What could she possibly want from me?
I guess she knows something and I just need to stick around to find out.

The person at the other end of the discussion was a male and I could tell by the voice.

I need to find out what's going on in this castle but Bronte didn't drop any more clues for me to follow.
Still thinking about why I haven't heard from the Goddess Bronte, my mind wandered over to the king. I was told he was a beast but how come his as handsome as a greek God? I was so sure that there was more to this than meets the eye and the only person i can get answers from other than Bronte was the old dame that i met at the market few weeks ago.

*Clash*I can't be friends with her! I hate her guts already! How do you expect me to pretend to like her? Didn't you say she's the only person that could stop us from taking over this kingdom? We need to get rid of her. Not getting close to her!"
It seems Freya was still talking to the man and he wants her to pretend to be friends with me. How ironic!
I almost came out to confront her when i heard the person's voice again.

"You need to get close to her to know of her capabilities. She's stronger than you think and we need to know her weakness. That's were you're to come in! Befriend her and find out her capabilities and weakness."
Freya wanted to complain again but the voice told her that it was an order and she's supposed to obey without questions.

I was still shocked from what i heard that i didn't know she has walked away and i was still bent under one of the shelves.
It seems Bronte just gave me a clue and now i need to watch out for Freya and the mysterious man.

Knowing I'll have to play along until i found a way to expose and deal with her and her cohorts because i was so sure it wasn't just the both of them.
They were more and i needed to take cautious steps for me to find them one by one.

Sighing i stood up and streched.
