WHO WILL TAME THE BEAST?

It's been more than five days since i was made a chambermaid to the king and I still didn't understand why he was reffered to as the beast, he was ruthless and cold with no trace of emotion in his eyes but since I've been living in the palace i didn't see or hear him do something bad.
He once cut off the fingers of a guard for spilling water on him but that was just because the guard was a spy.
What exactly is he upto?

Do you mind accompanying me to the library? I have something to say to you.

It seems freya is still not ready to give up on trying to make me her friend, wait! Did she just say library? I guess the time to fish out the thorn is out.

It'll be my pleasure Freya, just give me a little time. I was asked to clean the kings chambers, I'll be back soon.

30minutes later.....

We can go now. I smiled a radiant smile before linking arms with Freya.
She kept smiling at me but as usual i noticed the malicious intent underneath her facade.

Sit here, i just remembered i need to get ingredients for tomorrow's ball. I'll be back in a jiffy just wait for me. You could busy yourself with some books.
Freya said hurriedly and left. I knew she was upto something and although I didn't know exactly who was behind her i knew if she left me here, I'll be exposed without knowing the enemy.

*Thunder* and then it was followed by a heavy rainfall. I haven't used my powers since i arrived in Eclipsara but I've been learning self control and right now it helped because i just drew rain so Freya wouldn't be able to go out.

Zaya kept shouting and i had to run over to cover her mouth.
For God's sake Freya was at the other side of the library.
