Ngl I was a bit too excited and ended up completing this chapter in less than a week. Well here is Chapter 3 I hope yall are as excited as I am skskkskks
"It was you!" she cried, grabbing Donghyuck's collar and shaking him violently. "Excuse me, can you explain before you-OW! WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?" Donghyuck's attempt to prevent a concussion by lifting his head off the tiles failed miserably as Yoonseul's violent hands inadvertently connected with his face, resulting in a punch landing squarely on his nose. Donghyuck recoiled in pain, holding his now-bleeding nose. Yoonseul quickly released him, her expression a mix of shock and horror. "I-I swear I did not mean to do that-"
"You literally punched me! Do you know how much this face is worth?" Donghyuck spat out, his voice tinged with irritation as he tried to stem the flow of blood. "It wasn't my fault! You came in the way!" Yoonseul retorted defensively. "YOU LITERALLY LUNGED AT ME!" Donghyuck shot back, his frustration evident. Johnny intervened, stepping between them. "Okay, kids, that's enough. Break it up" he interjected, attempting to diffuse the tension. Ten chimed in just then, his voice commanding authority. "Yoon, apologize to Haechan."
"But-"
"No buts. Apologise. Now." Ten insisted firmly, leaving Yoonseul with no choice but to comply. She sighed, knowing this was a battle she couldn't win. She knew Donghyuck didn't really do anything wrong but she was still mad at him for exposing her to Ten years ago. She looked at the boy who was eyeing her sceptical as if he was preparing himself to run if she took another step closer to him
"I'm sorry" she muttered reluctantly, her gaze meeting Donghyuck's stare. He scoffed at her apology.
"Sorry isn't gonna fix up my pretty face, sweetheart." Donghyuck retorted with a smirk.
"Sweetheart? What-"
"You should help me patch it up. You know, to make things right" he teased, his smirk growing wider as he batted his eyes playfully, clearly enjoying the banter despite the circumstances.
"OW, can you be a bit gentle?" Donghyuck whined as Yoonseul attempted to clean the scratch on his face. "I'm barely touching you, Donghyuck. Stop being so dramatic." Yoonseul retorted, trying to maintain her patience despite the aggravation bubbling within her. Working with Donghyuck was proving to be more challenging than she had anticipated, and it had only been half an hour since they began. They were currently on the medical floor of NCT HQ, tending to the scratch Donghyuck had somehow managed to acquire. He insisted it was Yoonseul's fault, while she vehemently disagreed. After all, she had punched him, not scratched him like a cat. As she continued to disinfect the scratch, Yoonseul couldn't help but wonder if this was a glimpse of what their future working relationship would be like. If so, she wasn't sure if she could stay sane with him around.
"So what was that all about?" Donghyuck asked, his tone tinged with curiosity. "What was what?" Yoonseul replied absentmindedly, her attention divided as she continued to tend to his scratch. "Why did you punch me?" Donghyuck pressed, his expression resembling that of a kicked pudu. "I didn't punch you-never mind," Yoonseul sighed, realising that arguing with him would only lead to further frustration. "You exposed me four years ago. The poem competition database. Remember?" she explained, her voice tinged with bitterness. Realisation dawned on Donghyuck as he recognised the depth of Yoonseul's rage against him. "I did what I had to do to clear my name," he began to explain, feeling the need to justify his actions. "Taeyong could have kicked me out, so I had no choice but to expose whoever did it. I am sorry though but then again, you didn't really clean up well after yourself, so it was easy to-"
