CH 1

Kevin's POV

Early mornings are now blissful mornings for me. Waking up with the sound of birds, the warm sunlight peeking through our curtains, the nature around us, everything was paradise.

Of course I cannot forget about the man who wrapped his arms around me as I'm making our breakfast. His warm breath fanning my skin, making goosebumps appear all over me.

"Good morning honey". His sweet voice echos in my ears, a pink tint appearing on my cheeks every time he calls me with that sweet nickname.

"Good morning handsome". I reply and turn around, pausing my chopping and snuggling close to him. His warmth defrosts all the chills of this winter.

"I love you" He mumbles while sniffing my hair.
"I love you more" I reply and give him a quick kiss and pull away. Everyday I'm thankful to god for uniting us and filling our lives with so much joy.

Suddenly his phone rings and he goes outside to talk. Ethan, my husband owns a real estate business which is doing so well. I'm so proud of him and his hard work. Of course he spoils me even though I tell him not to, but he is one stubborn man. My stubborn man.

Switching off the stove and removing my apron, I go to the balcony where he is on his phone checking something. I slowly walk behind him and wrap my arms around him, burrowing my face into his shoulder blades.

He flinches at first but then relaxes, "god honey you scared me". He chuckles and turns around and smiles. "You're taller than me and yet you're that scared of me hmm?" I playfully ask.

"Oh definitely I am, wanna test it out?" He smirks. "Ethan! You're so cheap". I huff and roll my eyes at him. He laughs at my pouty face and kisses my cheek.

"Honey, you know right that I have to go for a business meeting today. To New York..." He quietly says, a hint of sadness in his voice. I knew why. Tomorrow was our two year anniversary and I also knew how important his meetings were. This was the first time he wouldn't be here on our anniversary.

"Hey look at me". I gently cup his face and make him look at me. "It's fine, you go and attend the meet. We'll have our anniversary date after you come back". I tell him with a soft smile.

"I know...I'm so grateful for you. You're so supportive and loving. Don't worry. I'll finish up everything and come running back to you". He kisses the tip of my nose and smiles.

"I love you more".

On the other side of the city. Richard's PoV :

"Good morning sunshine!" I grab hold of my precious tiny husband Xavier who yelped as I picked him up and spun him around.

"Richard put me down!" He tries to sound angry but instead bursts into giggles and nuzzles into my neck. After sometime I gently put him on the ground with his face still hidden in my neck.

"You know it's the daily ritual to make you laugh like that sunshine". I say and he blushes at my words. "You're so cheesy early in the morning".

"I was cheesy earlier but now I'm salty at the fact that you have to leave me all alone for that exhibition. Even worse, I can't go with you because of my job and why do you have to go when it's your birthday tomorrow?!" I whined at him and he simply gave me a gently peck on my lips.

"Come on sweetie, I'll be back in no time. I really hope that my sculptures catch an eye". He says and sighs.

"Of course it will catch an eye. My baby never misses a shot. You'll do amazing, I just know it. When you return, we'll not only celebrate your birthday but also the success of your sculptures". I say and hug him tightly, letting him know that no matter what, I'll always be his number one supporter.
