"And that's where I come in; Keygen Shachi, AKA DJ Cephal-0. Hiding in plain sight from my fans, because this is serious business. Featuring this fish... Even though I can't stand Salmonids, this one is different because-" Keygen's internal monologue was suddenly interrupted, as he entered the Inkopolis Plaza radius, his vison was overcome with lights and numbers, it completely engulfed him until he passed out.
Part 3.5: Side Order
"heyyy! HEYYYY! Wake up!" A voice called out.
"Where..."
"Eight! it's you!" Pearl announced loudly. "What? What's the matter? It's me, you know, your bestie! Pearl!" The two stared at each other. "I mean, you did appear to hit your head pretty hard, so It's okay if you don't remember everything. Oh right! I don't know how but... I'm a drone now, hehe." Pearl laughed nervously. "I kinda woke up like this. Anywhoo, have you seen Marina around? I feel like she'd know what's going on. We should find her!" Pearl began to fly around looking for Marina.

The Octoling stood, taking a look at the senary. The Square was bleached and abandoned, as well as dead silent. "Who's Eight?...I think she's got the wrong person... My name is Heimdal Kyo." He mumbled to himself.
"H...hel...p...P...Pe...ar....rl..."
"Huh? Did you hear that Eight? That sounded like Marina, it came from this tower. It looks different than it used to. Well, come on!" Pearl raced off to the Tower as Heimdal followed close behind.
The foyer of the tower was empty other than a hall which led to an elevator. "She's gotta be higher up, c'mon!" Suddenly, a hoard of fish spawned from nowhere. They all swam on the ground right at the duo. "Eight! hang on!" Pearl flew in front of Eight and spawned in a pair of dualies. Feeling a strange connection, he rolled into combat and splatted the weird fish.
"Nice shootin' Eight!" Pearl cheered. The elevator activated; the doors opened as a slender Octoling stood in the doorway.

"Ey? You with those weird fish things? Stick 'em Eight!"
"What-" Heimdal started.
"HEY! I'm not your enemy! Just another bystander that got sucked in too." They spoke. "I'm guessing you also heard Marina's voice in here and came to help."
"You know Marina?" Pearl asked. "I guess you can't be that bad after all. C'mon let's go Eight." Pearl flew into the elevator.
"I guess I gotta pose as this Eight person." Heimdal thought to himself as he walked into the elevator. "Perhaps this Marina will be able to help us get outta here..."
"It's very nice to meet you both. My name is Acht Mizuta, Marina and I go way back." The Octoling said. "I've been practically trapped in this elevator for a while now after I got attacked by those things, I call them Jelletons." Acht held up their arm to show the bandage around their wrist. "And you two are?"
"I'm Pearl, Marina's best friend and costar. of Off the Hook." Pearl said.
"So that's what Marina's been up to all this time?" Asked Acht. "How nice. And you?" Heimdal flintched.
"That's my other bestie Eight! Even though I haven't seen them in like... half a decade!" Pearl interrupted.
"So, your name is Eight?" Acht asked.
"Well... no." Pearl answered. "That's just what 'Rina and I call her."
"I see." Acht replied. "Well anyway. The only way we can reach Marina is this elevator, however this elevator can only go up on floor at a time. And with it, we get a Color Chip for your palette."
"We get a what now for our- excuse me?" Pearl asked. "Palette, like this thingy?" Pearl pulled out a large board with around 40 slots.
"Yes, that's it. Here, Eight, put this in the first slot." Acht handed Heimdal a Colored Chip. He put the chip in the first slot.
"Woah! I can feel that that chip got some power to it!" Pearl commented.
"Different ones have different effects." Acht explained. "Now let's go find Marina."
