"Ladies and gentlemen, we have an update on D'Angelo Russel.. It has been reported that D'Angelo Russell will miss 3 to 4 months.. Out with a knee injury, wishing him a speedy recovery." Kevin Wildes says on their show.
"Wishing D'Angelo the best as we said earlier. I don't know what the Lakers are gonna do now. I guess start Reaves at the point." Chris Broussard suggests.
"This sucks man, D'Angelo, I felt like was gonna really step into his role this year.. And now he's gonna miss significant time and i'm just praying for him." Nick Wright starts.
"As for Reaves, I think he should stay listed at the 2." Nick tells them.
"Who do you think they should start at the one then?" Chris asks.
"I think they should start Y/N L/N at the one." Nick answers making them nod.
"He averaged 30ppg, basically 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Three blocks and two steals a game. On 62/50/94 shooting splits.. Now I know, it's summer league and those numbers will come down..-"He got hurt and didn't play in pre season. So we couldn't see how he would be against starting players." Chris adds making Nick nod.
"But the way he plays the game.. I thinks he will be a great NBA player." Nick tells them.
"What do you think Wildes?" Chris asks him.
"I think they should start him. Look it was just summer league but that was the greatest summer league performance ever.. Literally nobody scored on him." Wildes answers.
"And they're starting JJ at the 5 who is the steal of the draft.. He, is a legit 7'0 and is a big young man so we'll see how he deals against Jokic." Nick adds.
Nick and Wildes look at Brou, awaiting for his take.
"I'm not gonna lie, Nick, Wildes.. I 100% agree with everything you guys have said." Brou says before pausing.
"When we look back on this draft I think outside of Wemby, Y/N will be the best player.. Now I know teams fell back off him because of injuries at Georgia.. This is obviously if he remains healthy." Brou says.
"Yea, he's gotta stay healthy." Nick adds.
"I mean you said it Nick.. The way he plays is fantastic because he can basically do everything on that court. With a 6'9 215-220lbs body.. He can drive, shoot off the dribble, catch and shoot." Brou says.
