faded memories.

As the Fallen immortal slept and dreamed, flashes and shreds of the past came to haunt her...

Y/n's POV

I saw a splash of blood hit the clouds, high above the heavens, above anything we danced...

Oh so long ago, back when the world wasn't so advanced...

I would sit upon the sky and watched as all occurred... A nightmare or a dream? I knew not what this was, but I knew who it reminded me of. "Alcos..." The words driftef from my lips as the bident struck right through my flesh once more and covered the sky with white blood which became clouds...

My hands covered in Black liquid once more... Fear ran down my spine as the scene changed...

The red and black clouds swirled around me and her sharp fangs pierced the veil... The eyes ripped from his body as she laughed and cackled...

The scene changed once more... a Golden throne cracked and wrecked by the horrors of grief. An ever-binding Frost enslaving the world's below...

Her screams as my arms plunged into its heart and my arms cracked like glass... "Tell me, doth thy soul know pain?"

I had heard these words so long ago but not to me... And then in a single moment, the blade pierced his heart and the world cracked and melted into a purple soup of stars...

"Try as you might, run to the farthest corners of existence... I will return and I will find you..." The Vines tightened as the beast consumed him...

A distorted world... Pages drowned in faded ink, pieces of a book cruely stitched together displacing events and shattering memory...

The beast and her battled under the deep, as she returned victorious only for the bone to rip itself out of her body and claw itself towards the stars...

Running... Flying, protected from it... The comet sank into an ocean of freedom finally slipping out of the beast's clutches...

And then... I woke up...

I was back in the heavens, back in my bed, looking as if I hadn't grown... Had everything been just a dream? A terrible nightmare? Had none of it ever happened?

Had they never died? Had they even existed? Alcos, morea, falden and hyun... Were they and their lives as well as their deaths... Just a part of a nightmare?

Had my eons of enslavement and confinement been nothing more than a bad dream?

I ran into the Open arms of my father... His gentle smile shining on his scarred face, my mother making tea... Was this real?

I walked outside, hopping from cloud to cloud and watched the world below... I saw my favorite tree tended and not scorched... The Farmers village, it was still there...

I ran back into my room and saw everything was where I left it... It felt like years since I had entered this room... But I knew better... I held the pictures and paintings of me and my family all together as I realized that I couldn't dream any longer... I realized I needed to stop...

The past had already occurred, they were dead, the mortal world already scorched and destroyed by our battle... My trauma and mental scars still there beneath it all...

I smashed the glass of the dream and reality fell away to a black void...

And then I felt the eyes looking up on me, it's Claws digging into me. "Try as you might, you're mine and you can never escape me..." Its eyes glowed in front of me as my body spasmed... And a Red mist surrounded me...

3rd POV

MK had just finished defeating the last of the clones, however, as he left the arcade, he saw a mysterious vision.

MK's POV

I was just talking to Mei, apologizing to her for the whole clone incident and her almost being dropped into what was either a laser or a pit of lava, when suddenly the whole world turned red.

This was similar to my gold vision power, but it was showing me things that weren't there.

First showed a large cloud of red and black covering the sky, then it turned to Blue as ginormous spikes covered the land...

Then back to red as the ground cracked open with energy and then back to Blue as something moved inside of the clouds and a ginormous eye pierced through...

Then the color changed to gold like normal as ball of energy appeared in between the clouds and the ground...

And then the color went purple as the clouds moved downwards and tried to swallow the ball of energy as a large spiked arm burst through the ground and tried to grab the ball of energy...

And then a massive explosion as everything was destroyed... And then everything went back to normal as my eyes stopped being weird...

I don't know why, but I feel like I should check up on the Sandy in the morning...

I then walked back to pigsys to apologize and explain what happened.

3rd POV

Far away from the Earth, in the void of space...

A a frozen body could be seen floating away from the solar system...

Then suddenly, it's left hand twitched as its eyes glowed a deep blood red as a mysterious jumbling of whispers could be heard coming from the Frozen body...

The next day,

MK was making his way to the docks when he saw Sandy running with a unconscious person in his arms, of course the big water spirit was cradling the unconscious person like a baby.

"Hey MK! Where you going?" The bearded water spirit said as he stopped walking for a moment. The monkey kid then responded. "I was just going to the docks to apologize to you for yesterday, but it seems like you're already doing something?" MK said as he pointed to the snoozing person in Sandy's arms.

The water spirit then gave a surprised face as he then explained that he was just headed to pigsys so he could explain and introduce someone to them.

MK gave a nod as he followed the water spirit to the restaurant.

(Sorry this chapter is a lot shorter than I originally planned it to be, but I figured that the main cast technically hasn't met
Y/n yet, so I decided that I would instead make a new segment for the duplication episode, as it would be a perfect time to sneak in some little tidbits of lore for the future of the book... But I hope you enjoyed, and if chapter 4 isn't long enough for you then I've got news for you, cuz I'm planning for chapter 5 to be pretty long and I hope you enjoy it.)
