Chapter 6

Sorry for the wait!

I wake up from my phone going off. Ugh who's calling me. I grab my phone and see it's Lucifer. I instantly answer, "Hey Luci.. fer.. Wassup, good morning."

"Good morning Y/n, I have a free morning today and wanted to check in. Did you get my gift yesterday?"

"Yeah I did, thank you, it's so cute."

"Oh, so you think I'm cute."

"No that's not uh, the duck it's really cute, I know it's you but like it's not you, and you're handsome not cute wait uh that's not what I meant." I can hear him dying on the other side of the phone.

"I was just messing with you." His laughing dies down, ugh that was embarrassing.

"Oh and I also made one that looks like you, so you have a duck of me, and I have one of you."

"Awww, now we both have reminders of each other, do you have one of Charlie too..?"

"Oh uh no I just had the idea to make them because I remembered how happy you were when you were in my workshop the room with the ducks, so yeah I made you as a little rubber duckling."

"You're so sweet."

"I know."

"You're so full of yourself, that was a compliment you should have just said thank you gooossshhhh."

"I'm the sin of pride for a reason haha."

"Didn't you say that you have a free morning? Could I maybe come over?"

"You could, but at the same time I told you after the extermination, and I am a man of my word."

"Boring." I then hear a knock at my door.

"One second Luci." I get up and open my door and see Angel.

"Morning toots, wanna go have breakfast with Cherri and I?" "Uh, let me check my work schedule." Angel's face fills with confusion. "Wait, since when did you have a job?"

I pick up my phone and check my schedule, I have to be at work in an hour. "Since yesterday, and if we make it quick and don't get sidetracked then I can go, I have work in an hour. Let me get dressed and then I'll be out."

Angel then leaves my room. "Hey Luci I gotta go, sorry."

"Awh ok, I'll talk to you later my little duckling."

"Ok byeee, wait... What?" Lucifer hangs up quickly, did he just..? I shake my head and then get up to change. After I change I go downstairs and see Angel and Cherri waiting for me.

"Hey girly! Angel here was telling me that you got a job yesterday. Did you run off after we both left and got a job?" I nod my head. "Yeah, I did. I'm a personal assistant. I gotta be there in about an hour, so let's go get breakfast now before I'm late on my second day."

We leave and talk about the most random shit like usual, and also like usual it's mainly me listening and Cherri and Angel talking.

We arrive at a small restaurant and we go inside and sit down at a vintage looking booth. "Ok, I gotta ask, who were you on the phone with earlier?" Angel looks at me and Cherri does the same. "Oh uh, I was on the phone with Lucifer.." Their eyes widen and I shrink my posture.

"Wait, are you being for real? You were on the phone with the King of Hell!?" I slowly nod my head and then a waitress approaches the table.

"Hello, what can I get you to drink?" She places menus on the table and we all grab one and look at the drink options.

"We will have 3 whiskeys." I look up from the menu and glare at Angel. "Do you realize what time it is!?"

"Yeah, so? There's never a bad time to start drinking." Cherri nods her head in agreement to Angel. I look at the waitress, "They will have 2 whiskeys, I'll just have some water." The waitress write it down on the pad and walks away.

When the waitress comes back with the drinks we order breakfast. I eat it quickly as soon as it gets here, because I see I only have 15 minutes to be at work, and it takes about 10 to get there from here.

I stand up and Cherri and Angel look at me. "Leaving already?" I nod. "Yeah, I gotta get to work, I'll see y'all later." I leave and go to work.

I get to work on time and as soon as I do Vox makes me fill out a bunch of paperwork for him. It was a really boring day, but I didn't expect much else. I get out at 7pm and when I arrive at the hotel everyone and everyone is most likely in their rooms, I don't see anyone down here.

I walk up to my room and take a quick shower and put on some comfy clothes. After a while off thinking through my day I drift off to sleep.

Sorry for the short chapter. It should be easier to write from here on out, and the chapters should get better and better. :]
