The online idea of this genre is heavily image based. The featured covers tend to be of saturated visuals. The colors will often highlight what the model is wearing to create a strong dominating presence from the writer. The title is bold and dramatic. Readers will expect the book cover to maintain the same emphasis from this style of imagery into the writing.

I will be using the (free to use) graphic tool Canva to produce a sample cover. I have some experience using more advanced software like Photoshop and Illustrator. It is available offline and can provide an unlimited experience. Oftentimes, the cover appears to be attractive, yet the work is not as dramatic.

The accepted dimensions for this site is 512 x 800 pixels.

Pinterest is an image based search engine that can recommend photos of the same likeness. Daily use is encouraged to generate an algorithm that you will enjoy. For an overarching theme, it best to think about the environment the characters will be a part of.

To discover what your setting is, try to start thinking about a bunch of words that flow in as the list. It will create a natural tone and rhythm for you. Here, is the list I made before the cover is finished.
