Hello, lovely readers!
Book One of the Lycan Chronicles is officially complete!
I want to take this moment to thank everyone who read, voted, commented, or just interacted with my story in any way shape, or form. I appreciate you all so much, and I hope you enjoyed the story!
Now, what's next?
A few things actually:
1. There will be two more bonus chapters, they don't have any real significance to the plot, so if you want to skip out on them, that's fine, it's just extra Midnight and Evan content!
2. I will begin editing this book, not the plot but mainly the grammar, adding and taking some stuff out, just polishing this book up. This will be a very slow process since this is a lengthy book.
3. I've read your comments and seen your suggestions and confusion on certain things, so I'd like to give some clarification. Midnight and Evan are the main couple. That was always the plan. The idea was for them to not get along at all in the beginning and gradually build their bond. This series is a trilogy, so there will be three books for this series, and I have a spin-off series planned for the future. More details on that will be coming eventually. Evan and Midnight will remain the main characters for all three books, though, in the next two, we will get some more perspectives from different characters, but again, it will mainly revolve around Evan and Midnight.
4. Characters. I have so many of them it's ridiculous, but is that going to stop me from making more? Pfft, no. I'm currently making a PowerPoint with all the important character profiles of my characters to help me keep track of them, and once it's ready, I will share it with all of you so you can have a little guide. When it's done, I'll make a separate post about it, but be on the lookout for that.
5. A very common question I get asked is if I have a writing schedule. Nope. I write when I'm inspired, but I do try to update at least once a month, sometimes life gets in the way.
6. And finally, book two. Cover? Title? What is it about? Details? I have it all ready.
Summary:
Midnight Alexavier wasn't a good person. In his heart lived a darkness that grew every day, and the only way to sate its hollow hunger was by killing. Unluckily for him, he had fallen in love with one of the monsters he had once enjoyed tearing apart. Evander Rue had stormed into Midnight's life and showed him the true meaning of unwavering loyalty, the light that cast the darkness away. That is until enemies appear out of every corner, threatening to destroy everything they'd worked for and forcing them to choose sides in a war that could tear them apart forever.
Regnar Lodbrok was the physical embodiment of a mistake. Constantly, he made one right after the other until he made a choice that cost him everything. Now, he's given a second chance to redeem himself, but love makes fools of us all, and sometimes, love is the most addicting drug of them all.
Some info on book two and potential triggers for readers (will go into more depth in the actual book's individual disclaimer):
1. If I don't consider it a spoiler, then it isn't, so I have a clear conscience when I say there will be no cheating or break-up tropes in my books at all. They will remain a couple the entire time. I'm not going to say they don't argue, they do but they communicate and solve their issues.
2. Regnar, Evan's maternal cousin, used to be a drug addict in his past and there will be some potentially offensive words used to describe him by some of my characters (not Evan or Midnight) but he DOES NOT relapse. I hate that trope and I won't be doing it so rest assured that doesn't happen but he does recall moments when he was on drugs and did unsavory things. I mention this because he is a main character in the next book.
3. Book two is going to be significantly darker, with more action, more sex, and more violence. Things are going to get ugly, so fair warning.
4. I don't write short books. They aren't my forte, and if you don't like long books with long chapters, then I'm sorry to tell you that you won't enjoy the sequel because there is a lot going on.
5. If you're going to reread this story that's wonderful but please don't spoil anything for the new readers or I will delete your comment.
I would love to hear your thoughts, predictions, and theories about this story and the next one coming out soon. Characters, plot, the lore, I'm curious about your guy's thoughts about it all.
Also, if you have any further questions, please ask away, and I'll gladly answer.
Again, thank you so much, and I hope to see you all in the bonus chapters and book two!
War out!
