When she looked at me, her eyes widened and her cheeks went from pink to red. I guess I was staring at her for too long, or maybe I had been drooling all over the kitchen floor. I have to know this woman. I caught myself out of my little daze I was having, and I joined in the argument that was happening with my butler and the mayor.

"My good man Harry. It is always a pleasure to see you. As you may know by now. I came here to see if you were still coming to the ball that we are throwing in your honor tonight." Sir Louis said, tilting his hat down to show his sign of respect.

"As well as it is to see you Louis, but it is quite foolish to think that I will not be attending my ball. I will be there as well as Mr. Marcel." I say with a slight chuckle.

Tonight I will be the guest of honor at the town ball. They are celebrating my visitation. Many people know me. There is not one town in England that has not heard of the name Lord Harry. It is a pleasure for a town to have me, and Holmes Chapel has taken great recognition to that truth.

"Now please tell me who this lovely lady is that you have brought with you. I am quite sure she is not your spouse. A man like you would never have a Maiden like this." I walk over to her, take her hand and lay a kiss on her knuckle. I keep full eye contact with her while I do so and the way her eyes widen even more has made this bitter morning into a remarkable day.

"Always with the humor I see. Well if you must know this Maiden as, you may call her, is Mary. She is my cousin's sister. She is new in town and I am the only family and the only one she knows here. Therefore she is with me." Louis said, as a slow smirk formed against his lips.

"Wonderful. How lovely to meet you madam Mary. Will you be attending my ball tonight. I am really looking forward to seeing you again." I said. It wasn't a lie. I felt like I couldn't be away from her, or I would perish.

"The pleasure is all mine Lord Harry. Indeed I am willing to see you again, but I am afraid that I haven't been invited" Mary said sorrowfully. She put her head down and slowly took her hand out of mine, But I wasn't having any of that. I take her chin in between my thumb and index finger to make her look at me. Making sure to fan my breath over her face.

"Well I think I just have invited you. I asked will you be attending, because I wanted to see you there. I think that is all the invitation that you need. I am the guest of honor." Now if you would excuse me I will resign to my chamber. I had a long night." I looked at Marcel with a knowing look. and he winks right back at me

"See you tonight Mary." Giving her a smirk and watching her blush was enough for me to slump upstairs, and sleep until I felt satisfied, and all I dreamt about was her beautiful eyes.
