And the book continues....

"I don't know why Anna had to put her birthday party the same date with Imade's, I don't know what she was thinking. Imade clearly announced hers first" I slammed shut my compact powder and brush then went on to decide which lipstick to use.

"Okay" Omar hummed impatiently tapping his foot on the floor, "Just do quick girl."

A perfect brown arch graced my lower lip as I drew my lip liner over it, "What's the point of arriving there early and looking ugly?" I asked sarcastically.

Omar grimaced, "What's the point of arriving late and looking pretty?."

I hisses my teeth as I placed a light pink lip gloss on my lips, "Tch!. If it's up to me, you shouldn't be going to that party. You're one set below us so why were you invited?."

"Because we are the coolest set in school" a smudge look replaced his annoyed features as he marched further into my room.

Now, I contoured my baby hair, "Why are you even excited about going?. It is because of Aisha. That girl in your class that you have a crush on!" I glanced at him, watching his reaction and I wasn't disappointed by it.

He literally jumped but quickly dipped his hand in his pocket to look cool and unrattled but I saw the way he had definitely jumped off his feet.

"Are you about I know who your crush is?" I probed.

"Crush?. I don't have a crush?. Who's Aisha again?" His voice deepened and he quickly cleared his throat.

"Someone we both know" I turned to face Omar on my seat to say, "My little Omar is all grown up and having crushes. Aaahhh!. But she's so pretty and you'll have so many competition but don't worry I can put in a word about you to her."

"What are you saying?. Ree we're going to be late" he hide the blush on his face with fake anger and stormed out of my room. Well at least he didn't deny the crush.

I chucked softly to myself before tying a green veil securely over my head. I've been realizing how better I look with my head covered, Islam is such a beautiful religion.

For Imade's party I'm going with a green dress that makes me look mature. I coupled it with silver heels and a silver bag to match my silver jewelries of necklace, wrist band and brooch. A green veil tied securely over my head did the cute girl magic.

I didn't have to be told, I knew I was looking fire, my mirror never lies.

"I'm readyyyyy" I sang going out of my room to join the rest in the living room—of our new house.

Levi and Omar sat on the large couch with their faces glued to their phones. They both glanced up as I approached them.

I hated in front of them and smiled. My face froze in place as Levi's eyes openly checked me out. I could feel his gaze moving up and around the curves of my body.

A blush rose to my cheeks as I suddenly became curious to know what he was thinking. Does he like it?.

As if listening to my thoughts, his gaze moved up to my face and stopped when we made eye contact. A smirk plastered on his lips and he gave me a small nod.

My eyes roamed over Levi too. How can someone dress so casual and still look like a fallen angel. He was clad in a simple button down black shirt and black Armani pants, his long hair had been comped and styled backwards making his jaw and face more profound.

Get it together Ree!. He's your step brother!.

I unknowingly let out the breath I didn't know I was holding as Lila rushed to the living room. I was glad to break eye contact with Levi.
