To continue this book or to stop at chapter 23. It took me months to decide. I actually did end it for a while but the ghost of new ideas and new chapters kept hunting me, invading my head and filling my heart with longing for writing.
And so, I sharpened my ideas, braised myself and began to write again. I'm going through the chapters I've written before and I feel a strong determination to continue, there are so many ideas of continuation in each chapters. The art of writing is beautiful..... Have fun reading 😄I can't!. I shouldn't!. I can't!. It's her life and she can do whatever she wants with it!.
Wait!. Yes I can!. She's my best friend and if I can stop her from making a bad choice, I should, right?!.
Oh what the heck am I going to do now!.
"Ashley!" I light bulb lit in my head. I instinctively drag my purse around me and rummaged through it to grab my phone.
It took me a minute to unlock it and dial Ashley's number. Immediately she picked, I stumbled over my words to get her to come over to where I was.
I paced around for a while after hanging up. My head was evaded with fogs of thoughts and conflict on what to do. I could clearly hear moaning in the bathroom in front of me and....
I stiffed when I heard footsteps and twirled to the sound of the steps. My eyes widened about 5 times their normal size as I caught the sight of two people approaching.
Ashley and Imade's mum were marching their way over to me. I glared at Ashley with silent questions in my eyes while she tried her best to explain with her eyes.
"Where's Imade?" Imade's mum's tone scared me as she asked in anger, "She's supposed to be out there saying hello to the guest. Where the hell is she?."
My mouth opened to let speak but my words were muted. The more I tried, I eventually stumbled out incoherent words that surprised me too.
"Where is she?" I jumped as Imade's mum's voice thundered over my thoughts.
My right hand lifted up to point at the door of the bathroom I had heard the moans coming from.
Two pairs of eyes turned to the door and back to me in surprise. The brief silence that resulted from their confusion made them hear what I've been hearing, the girlie moans and giggles.
Imade's mum wasted no time to storm over to the door and slam it open. The force of the door slamming open made Ashley and I jump and grab each other.
"This can't be good!" Ashley muttered beside me.
"Ahhh!. You ingrate!!!" Were the first words that Imade's mum uttered before the battle began.
Trust me, the words exchange were so loud and disturbing.
"I didn't want any of this. You did it for yourself to show off to your dumb friends this isn't my party it's yours!" Imade yelled relentlessly at her mum.
"If I had let you have that party this is what you planned to do right?. You this stupid ungrateful child, you dare bring a boy into your father's house, how disrespectful!."
"And so?. I'm officially an adult and I can do whatever I want. At least I don't do it behind my husband's back while still married" Imade blurted without remorse.
Ashley and I gasped along with Imade's mum. I held my breath waiting for a reply which never came. Instead, a slap thundered into my ears.
I shivered simultaneously with Ashley as the slap vibrated through our bodies as if we were the ones that got hit by the slap.
