Dylan: I know that I could have handled things differently but I don't want my dad thinking we're engaged to be married.
Rayna: I will tell him the truth next time I see him.
Dylan: okay...
*two weeks later*
I seen sitting with her at my dad's place of business while I listened to her telling him the truth about us.
Will: so you two aren't getting married?
Rayna: no sir, I was in a bad place when he found me and he's been helping me ever since
Will: is the baby...?
Dylan: she's pregnant with someone else's child, she was abused by him and I found her laying outside the bar where I worked before and she's been with me ever since.
Will: I see...
Rayna: I know that I lied to you and I don't have any excuse for doing it.
Will: you seem like a good woman Rayna but you shouldn't have got my son involved in whatever mess you're in.
Rayna: I do apologize to you and Dylan...
She quietly left as I followed after her, I knew my dad would be upset when he discovered the truth about her.
Dylan: Rayna wait...
Rayna: your dad is right Dylan, I shouldn't have got you involved in the mess I am in so I will go back to California and stay with my brother, it will be as if you and I never met.
Dylan: what will happen to you?
Rayna: I will go on the road with my brother and his band and you can carry on with your life like I never existed.
Dylan: what about your baby?
Rayna: I will raise the child the best way I can.
Dylan: I...
Rayna: please don't make this harder than it already is.
Dylan: I don't want you to go...
Rayna: why?
Dylan: because I love you.
Rayna: well than stop loving me...
I watched as she walked away from me, I knew that she would go back to her brother and she did exactly that.
