Ch 1

Slowly waking up the next morning I open my eyes wondering what woke me up only to see my son Jack sitting up staring at me. I smile and say a little groggily. "Good morning sweetie." He looks at me nervously and signs asking where we are I giving him a reassuring smile. "We're at uncle Kyong's house. Remember we're going to be living with him for a while." He relaxes and smiles signing that he likes uncle Kyong because he always gets him candy I chuckling. Suddenly there's a knock on the door and I sit up saying softly. "Come in." The door opens and Kyong pokes his head in giving us a smile. "Hey I was wanting to know if you guys wanted to come to the company with me." I blink curiously but agree. "Sure." He nods then he looks beside me and smiles brightly. "Hey little man." Jack smiles and climbs out of bed rushing to Kyong who picks him up tickling him making him squirm and giggle. "Jack can you speak and say hi to uncle?" He looks at me nervously but I smile encouragingly at him he looking at Kyong and whispers shyly. "Hi uncle." He smiles and hugs the little boy. "Hi bud. Now you guys better get ready." I nod as he sets Jack down and I get up going to our luggage and get us some clothes out I getting Jack ready before brushing his short dirty blonde hair and help him brush his teeth. I then get dressed and brush my teeth before packing a little bag for Jack like extra clothes and snacks before scooping the little boy up and follow Kyong out of the apartment and to a large building. I look curious as we enter and head to an elevator I putting a fussy Jack down when he starts to fidget before turning to talk to Kyong. "So your mate works here right?" He nods smiling. "Yeah I usually do his makeup and everything." I nod looking curious as we continue to chat about his job we getting off the elevator I expecting Jack to follow but don't notice him getting distracted by making funny faces in the shiny metal and staying in the elevator.

(Donghyuk's Pov)

Making my way back to practice after using the bathroom I pause when I see a little boy who looks foreign near the elevator's crying. Feeling a little concerned I approach saying softly. "Hey. Are you lost?" He jumps and looks at me with pure fear in his eyes I frowning as he seems to cower away I saying gently kneeling down to his level. "Hey. It's okay I won't hurt you." He seems to hesitate still looking scared and nervous. "Do you have someone you came with?" He seems to study me cautiously before slowly nodding I giving him an encouraging smile. "Can you tell me who you came with?" He pauses before saying in a quiet voice. "Daddy and uncle." I smile down at him. "Well let's go find them okay? Do you know where you got separated?" He nods pointing to the elevator and I frown. "Do you know which floor?" He thinks for a minute before holding up three fingers and I nod knowing that's the styling floor. "Well let's go okay." I straighten up and hold my hand out he immediately taking it and I lead him into the elevator. "What's your name little one?" He says in a soft quiet voice. "Jack." I smile kindly down at him. "I'm Donghyuk but you can call me Dk. How old are you Jack?" He smiles and holds up four fingers. "I's this many." I smile softly. "Wow you're a big boy." He nods smiling cutely. "Yeah! Daddy says I a good big boy cause I can dresses myself now." I smile at his cuteness and lead him out of the elevator. "Wow you can get dressed all by yourself? Did you pick out your clothes today?" He nods smiling and points to his little shoes. "Yeah! I likes my shoes cause they lights up." He stomps his little foot showing me the sneakers and I gasp. "That's so cool." He giggles and I suddenly hear a loud males voice calling out sounding relieved. "Jack!" I look up to see a really short pretty man a little older than me running over my nose immediately wrinkling when I smell an intoxicating scent of omega come from him. "Daddy!" I watch as Jack runs to the man and jumps in his arms I swallowing as he gets closer I fighting my wolf. The man cuddles the little boy until he seems to pause and his gaze goes to me his eyes widening slightly as his nose wrinkles. We stare at each other our eyes glowing his blue and mine red only to snap out of it when Jack gets his dad's attention. "Daddy this is Mr Dk he helped me find you." He seems to look at his son in surprise I a little curious at his shocked expression only for him to clear his throat. "Why don't you go find uncle Kyong and let daddy speak to Mr Dk privately." He gently sets the boy down and points out where the boy needs to go he nodding and runs off. The man then straightens up and looks at me curiously. "How'd you get him to talk? Jack never speaks he usually just uses sign language." I blink a little in surprise. "I didn't do anything special I just talked to him and asked him some questions about himself." His lips twitch up into a small smile. "Well I appreciate you helping him out and looking after him." I give him a kind smile. "No problem. I'm Kim Donghyuk by the way." He looks a little shy and nervous. "I'm Park Wonjae but I just go by Wade. So I uh I guess we're mates." I nod giving him a little smile. "I guess we are." He seems to take a breath before saying softly. "Look I'm going to be honest with you. Jack and I just got out of a very bad situation and I'm not ready to jump into a relationship yet. Especially when I have a son who's still very much frightened of everything. I don't mind starting out as friends and maybe eventually getting to be together romantically." I feel a little disappointed but nod understanding. "Alright friends. Can I have your number so we can talk and get to know each other?" He hesitates but nods and hands his phone over I typing in my number then hand it back over. "I better get back to practice but it was nice meeting you and Jack. Tell him I said goodbye." He nods assuring me he will and I head to the elevator going back to the practice room where I enter the room everyone turning to me with raised eyebrows. "What took you so long?" I sigh a little at Jinhwan hyungs question. "Well I found a little boy who was lost so I helped him find his dad and then it turns out the dad was my mate." Everyone looks at me in surprise. "Whoa. So you found your mate and he has a kid already?" I nod. "Yeah that part doesn't bother me. But he wants to stay just friends." They all wince giving me sympathetic looks and I look at Chanwoo. "He seems to know Kyong though." He nods explaining. "Yeah that's his friend Wade. They were in dance together for years but then he moved to America and got into an abusive relationship. He just now saved up enough money and got the courage to leave." I immediately frown now knowing why Jack was so scared of me and why Wade is afraid to start a relationship without knowing me first. "That explains a lot. I guess I'll just get to know them both better and show that I won't hurt them." The guys all nod giving me encouraging looks. We then go back to practice.
