Ch 3

Slowly waking up the next day I reluctantly climb out of bed and make my way to the kitchen letting Jack sleep. Once I enter the kitchen I greet Kyong tiredly making myself a cup of coffee. Once I take a sip of the liquid I see Kyong sitting on his chair looking like he's about to explode I raising an eyebrow at him. "What's up with you?" That seems to do it because he starts babbling out frantically. "I can't believe Donghyuk is your mate! Where'd you guys go yesterday? Did you go on a date? Why was Jude talking about a rejection?" I hold up a hand cutting him off from asking anymore questions. "Okay first off yes Donghyuk is my mate. We went to dinner and the park with little man and Jude was talking about a rejection because I told Donghyuk we could only be friends and that maybe eventually we can talk about a relationship." He stares at me in disbelief. "Dude what the hell?! You finally find a good respectable alpha and you're pushing him away!" I give him a slight look. "I'm not comfortable just diving into a relationship when I don't even know him. I don't know if he'll stay when I have a child that he'll gain by being with me. He won't be just gaining a mate he'll end up with a child too." He raises an eyebrow at me. "Donghyuk is amazing with kids and I'm sure he won't mind having Jack around. Why are you fighting this so hard Wade?" I grumble and say reluctantly. "I'm scared okay. I'm scared he'll turn out like Theo." Kyong's expression softens and he says softly. "That won't happen. Just give the poor guy a break." I go to say something when Jack runs into the room looking at me hopefully. "Cans we go see Mr Dk? Please daddy?" I blink and frown. "I don't know bud I bet he's probably busy." He immediately pouts and I sigh pulling my phone out sending a message.

Me: hey Jack wants to see you are you busy today?

Donghyuk: I'm actually free today. Wanna go get breakfast?

I agree and he said he'll come pick me up soon I looking down at Jack. "Alright let's go get ready so we can have breakfast with Mr Dk." He cheers and runs off to our room I chuckling and make sure to follow him I letting him pick his clothes then help him get dressed before I pull on my own clothes we brushing our teeth and hair. Once we're finished I lead Jack outside a car pulling up and the passenger door opens Donghyuk getting out wearing a cap and mask. Jack immediately runs up to him smiling happily. "Hi!" Donghyuk gently pats Jack's head saying softly. "Hello little one." I unconsciously smile a little when Jack gets my attention. "Daddy let's go I'm hungry!" I snap out of it and smile chuckling. "Alright let's go then." I then look at Donghyuk. "I think we should walk because we don't have a booster seat for little man." He nods in understanding and tells the driver he'll call when he needs picked up the man nodding and drives off. I then grab Jack's hand saying softly. "Let's go get breakfast." Jack cheers and grabs ahold of Donghyuk's hand with his other one and he starts skipping forward I smiling a bit as we walk down the street to a restaurant. Once we head inside the waitress coos over Jack before leading us to a back table I helping the little boy into a chair before taking a seat myself. The waitress asks for our drink orders I ordering a soda for me and juice for Jack while Donghyuk also orders a soda. Jack immediately gets distracted by a coloring sheet he was given I looking at Donghyuk who's taken his mask off. He gives me a smile and I give a small one back. "So do you have a job in Seoul yet?" I shake my head no. "No not yet. I need to though." He looks a little curious. "Well what would you like to do?" I shift before saying honestly. "Anything that requires dancing. I used to create routines for the class with the teacher." He immediately looks curious. "How about you be a choreographer? I'm sure the company would hire you." I frown slightly. "But I don't have anyone to look after Jack because Kyong works too." He hums before saying softly. "There's a little daycare for the employees kids." I look a little uneasy. "I don't know Jack isn't really comfortable around new people." He gives me an understanding nod. "If it makes you uneasy that's fine but I know you need a job." I hesitate before turning to Jack. "Sweetie how would you like to go to the daycare at uncles work? You'd get to be around other kids." He frowns looking hesitant before putting on a brave face and nods. "Okay daddy. I'll try." I'm a little surprised but smile softly. "I'm so proud of you baby for wanting to try." He smiles and the waitress shows up with our drinks and takes our food orders. "So tell me a little more about yourself Donghyuk." He hums and we start chatting about his hobbies and fashion obsession I learning that he loves sneakers. "What about you?" I shrug a little. "If I'm not dancing then I'm usually writing. I'm not really a clothes person though. I like basketball and little man does too." Jack perks up at the mention of basketball and smiles cutely. "I love basketball! I wants one for my birthday!" Donghyuk smiles looking curious. "When's your birthday?" I speak up softly. "Gosh he turns five in about two weeks." Jack nods excitedly. "Yeah! I can't wait! Daddy says I can have a chocolate cake!" I smile softly and push some of his hair aside. "Yes you get a special chocolate cake." He grins happily and looks at Donghyuk pleadingly. "Will you come to my birthday please Mr Dk?" His expression softens a bit. "Sure little one I'd love to come." He smiles happily looking excited and the waitress soon comes over to us giving us our food. We eat happily chatting together until Donghyuk gets a text about an emergency meeting. "Don't worry I can take Jack home myself. You head on to work." He immediately frowns a little. "Are you sure? I don't mind walking you guys home." I wave him off. "Don't worry about it we'll be fine." He slowly nods and we head outside where a car picks him up. "I'll talk to the company about that choreography job okay? I'll text you later." I nod and watch him leave then lead Jack home.
