The next several seconds were a blur of color and light.
There was so much more light now.
That was one thing she noticed, another painfully obvious thing was her throbbing head.
She saw the elf hovering over her. He was alive. She was alive. So she'd say that plan was a success. They were both out of the prison. It hadn't even been a full day. They could have been trapped for weeks, months, till their deaths. How did they manage to escape so fast?
She laid still as the elf scanned their surroundings.
His expression changed from relief to disbelief.
She felt the elf nudge her shoulder, his amber eyes not on her. Instead looking forward.
She slowly leaned up with the elves support. Her ears stopped ringing after a few moments and she followed the elves gaze.
Walls. Five times her hight. Completely surrounding them. Surrounding the prison they just escaped.
A prison in a prison.
No wonder escaping was so easy.
