The sound of Chris shouting in the kitchen first noise Dani notice, the second being Matt's small snores as she wakes up. Last night she crashed in Matt's room while they had a marathon watching Stranger Things this time.
Matt rolled over in his sleep onto Dani chest, perfectly sandwiching her between him and the bed with his arms draped messily around her.
Unconsciously Dani knots her fingers through his hair, slightly still halfway asleep since her brain wasn't fully up. She ran a hand through Matt's bedhead and shuffle slightly, trying to find a more comfortable position. This wakes Matt up and he wraps his arms around her torso tightly, letting his hot breath fan her neck before he mumbles out, "Don't leave, I'm comfy."
Suddenly Dani's brain catches up to what's happening so she moves her hands away, "Matt, we need to get up."
"What time is it?" He mumbles still cuddling her.
"Time to get up." She tries to move, "And you're on me so..."
"I don't care. Friendly cuddles. Put your hand back in my hair it felt nice." He whines.
"How much longer till I can get up?" Dani runs her fingers through Matt's hair, using them as a makeshift comb as she attempts to braid his short hair. Matt takes long tired breaths as she does so. Cozying into her touch - taking long sleepy blinks every time her hand meets his scalp.
"Just shut up please." He tells her so Dani huffs continues for who knows how long. After some times he gives her a soft smile lifting his head weakly, "Thank you." He rolls off of her so she sits up.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah." She gets out of his bed.
"I mean it, that felt nice." He sits up, "My anxiety has been bothering me when I'm alone so all that helped a bit."
"Well, I'm glad to help because you have helped me in the past too." She gives him a smile leaving his room to go to hers getting dressed for the day.
"Good morning/afternoon." Chris gives her a smile.
"Hello, I would've gotten up earlier but I was stuck in bed. Literally, Matt had me pinned down by rolling on top of me at some point and he wouldn't wake up." She explains walking to her room, "Can you make a bowl of my cereal, please?"
"I got you sweetie."
Later in the day while the guys set up for their video Dank looks at a few of the snacks, "Geez Chris! Rrrr!" Dani gets startled by the water bottle flying across the table.
"I can't even read what these are." Matt looks at the snack box in his hands before they start their video to rank snacks.
"Yeah, they're in a foreign languages Matt." Chris tells him.
"I'm sure most are in Japanese." Dani says walking over to the couch since she wasn't going to take part in the video.
As they start Dani just sits and watches them like they were a tv show. For the first snack they were trying the three liked it, "Give me the grape! Give me the fucking grape!" Nick acts out causing Dani to giggle as he grabs his brother's shouting it.
"Wait, is it a whistle?!" Chris gets excited opening the wrapper to their next snack before blowing it. "That just came out of the sucker." He blows again for a long time.
"Chris, okay..." Dani gets annoyed.
"Enough! Enough!" Nick yells at him.
"Maybe it's a slide whistle." Matt suggests and was right but his didn't work like the other two.
Dani watches the three crack up and be so entertained by the snack as they were a laughing their heads off playing around with the sound making up little acts for it to fit into. She loved their laughs so much. The sound of them just made her so happy and she couldn't help but smile when she hear them.
While they eat the strawberry pockys they asks Dani if she wanted one but she tells them no because she prefers the chocolate ones only. For the redbull they liked it how it was a bit sweeter.
"Freeze fried mini ice cream sandwiches." Nick reads the next snack as Matt makes a face.
"Oh, it's astronaut food." Chris says so they all look at him.
"Well, I don't think it's astronaut food but it's like freeze dried." Nick says before they all try it and not a single one if them liked it. "Might as well get a Covid test, I feel like I have no taste."
"Are these skittles Popsicles?" Nick gets excited.
"What? Wait, it's not actually... skittles!" Chris gets excited too, "It's like pops."
Dani laughs a the three getting so excited to try them and they loved them, "Can I have one?" Dani asks them.
"Yeah, catch it." Chris picks one up to toss her way and she catches and loves it as well.
The thought of the fried chicken lays chips made Dani sick because who the hell would think of that. For the grilled bbq chips the three didn't care for the taste and the same for the Cheetos as well.
For the mountain drew drink the three jump around loving the taste talking about what memories it brings up.
"Matt, I want to try that." She gets up from the couch as he drinks but he puts it down, "Matt." She says making him remember what she asked.
"Sorry." He picks it back up walking over to give it to her as he waited on the other side of the table. "It's really good." He hands it to her.
"I got that by the three of y'all's reaction to it." She laughs taking the glass.
As they go on to the next four, Dani stops paying attention for a bit while she plays a game on her phone trying to get first place.
"Like baby throw up a little." Chris says as Nick smells the drink so Dani looks over at them.
"Wait!" Something hits Nick so he smells it again, "I love it!"
"No you don't." Chris laughs so Nick drinks it.
"I've had this in my past!" Nick says as Dani gets up going to her room which causes Matt to watch her walk off confused since she didn't seem in any other mood than happy.
In reality she was panicking as she got a message from her ex to call him. It took a restraining order for them to finally break up and now that it was up he wanted to see her.
"What do you want?" She says as he picks up the call, "I will figure out how to get a longer restraining order, Charlie."
"Babe, Dani... I just wanted to see how you are doing?" He chuckles.
"None of your business and it never will be." She tells him in a very serious tone.
"It won't take me long to figure out where you live. Until then, look out for me." He ends the call and she blocks that number as well.
As soon as she did, she goes over to her computer to look up how to get a longer restraining order to keep him away from her. By the time the guys finished their video, Dani was still on her computer looking up other stuff to keep her ex away.
"Dani, everything good?" Matt knocks poking his head into her room.
"I really hate how you notice things with me." She says keeping her eyes on her screen as he enters her room.
"I'm a good friend. So what happened to make you leave the room?" He sits at the end of her bed.
"My ex texted me. And this is the one I never talk about. It took a restraining order for us to break up." She explains to him, "I'm looking how to get a longer one but good lawyers are expensive. His almost got the judge not accept it."
"I'm sure we can help pay for one." He tells her not wanting to go into to asking more about her past with him.
Dani turns around to look at him, "I also hate how sweet you are." She giggles causing him to chuckle as well.
