In the fix, all of the 118 members are gathered together for a briefing by Captain Bobby Nash. As they go through the day's calls and upcoming assignments, Bobby notices some tension between Eddie and Buck. Sensing that something is off, he asks them to stay back after the meeting.
Once alone, Eddie and Buck awkwardly explain to Bobby that they have been dating for a few weeks now but wanted to keep it private for fear of how their coworkers might react. Bobby is surprised but supportive, assuring them that their personal lives are their own business and it won't affect their work on the team.
However, word starts to spread through the station despite Eddie and Buck's efforts to keep it quiet. Soon, everyone on the 118 is talking about the new couple, with some members reacting positively and others expressing surprise.
As the day goes on, Eddie and Buck find themselves receiving a mix of support and teasing from their teammates. Despite the initial awkwardness, they realize that they have a strong support system within the 118 and feel more secure in their relationship moving forward. The day ends with a group outing to celebrate their newfound relationship status, solidifying their bond with their coworkers and each other. Maddie finds out from hen that Buck and Eddie are dating, and then Cristofer find out and he loves have two dads.
