-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Malachi has owned his flower shop, Rosebud, for years and has never had any issues with his neighboring shop, which was a tattoo parlor.

Except for the influx of people that somehow confused Malachi's flower shop for the tattoo parlor in question.

One particular day, Malachi catches the owner of the tattoo parlor, Jaidyn, unlocking the doors for the day, where he impulsively decided to voice his complaint.

"Hey, man.. you really need to get a sign." Malachi grumbled as he looked at Jaidyn. He had to admit, the guy was pretty distracting, put he couldn't put his finger on what made it so.

The other man was tall, taller than him, even. He had thick, dark hair, that was about shoulder length and layered. He wasn't very muscular at all, but he was definitely fit. In addition to that, he had piercings on his nose bridge and lips, complementing his pale, clear complexion, which even further complemented his dark, monolids and long lashes. He was also dressed in blue baggy jeans, a t shirt, and a zip-up hoodie.

That was when Malachi noticed... he was staring.

And he was caught.

The tattoo artist raised an eyebrow, before speaking in a deep, sultry voice, "So, you were saying?"

Malachi blinked a couple times, snapping himself out of his thoughts, and responded, "Y-yeah. My shop is over here, and people keep thinking it's yours..."

"Oh? And what exactly is your shop?" Jaidyn asked.

"Uhm, a flower shop." Malachi answered, a little nervous.

Jaidyn smiled, and walked up to the door, unlocking it and holding it open, "Come in. I'll see what I can do about a sign."

"A-alright.." Malachi said, hesitantly entering.

He watched the taller man walk in, and close the door, locking it behind him, and flipping the open sign to closed.

"Dyl! We have a visitor." Jaidyn said to another guy, who was sitting on a couch with his head back, snoring softly.

"Hmm?" Dyl mumbled, sleepily. He rubbed his eyes and looked at Jaidyn, and then to Malachi. "Oh, hi. You've given us flowers before." He stated.

Malachi nodded, "Yeah..."

Jaidyn immediately snapped back at him, "Flower boy here is mad because we need to put a sign up. Can't you go grab a poster board and a marker from the back, sweetie?"

"Yeah, no problem." Dyl yawned.

"So," Jaidyn turned his attention to Malachi, "Do you want this sign outside or inside the window?"

"It's.. It's your sign. How is that my decision?" The florist asked, confused.

"Just humor me." Jaidyn shrugged, a small smirk crossing his face.

"Oh, alright, uh, outside. That way it can be seen while driving by." Malachi answered.

"Good choice." The artist nodded, "So, what's your name, Flower Boy?"

"Malachi. Yours?"

"Jaidyn. But, you can call me Jay."

"Okay, Jaidyn."
