Kyle's POV

Mid spring is an interesting time in South Park. It's not quite to the sunny summery months but it's not snowy anymore. It's the only time we receive rain. Like today. I can hear the rain pounding on my roof.

I'm mostly just scrolling on my phone out of complete boredom. My family is out at one of Ike's friend's houses so it's quiet here. What the hell am I gonna do all day? I do have some homework that I should probably catch up on but I'd rather do anything but that. Then there's a loud knock on my door.

What the hell?

Who the fuck is knocking on my door. I sneak down the stairs and get on the couch and peek out the window. It's just Stan. Even though I have been told a million times to not open the door to anyone when you're home alone I swing the door open.

"Hey dude," Stan grins as I open the door. "Hey," I reply and motion for him to come in. He sits on the couch and I take a seat next to him. "What's up dude?" I ask. He rolls his eyes dramatically, "A guy can't just wanna hang out with his friend?" Jokingly, I bump him with my shoulder. "Fine, fine. So what do you wanna do?" I ask. He grins. What did I just get myself into? He stands up "I wanna go to the park, the elementary school playground," he explains. "It's pouring rain Stan," I tell him, glaring him straight in the eyes. "Really??? Noooo," he groans sarcastically. "It'll be fun! Please?" He begs me.

I sigh and stand up. He raises a brow as I walk to the door. As I grab my coat he smiles and walks over to me. We both reach for the door handle at the same time and his hand lands on top of mine for a moment. I blush as he pulls his hand back and I swing open the door. Instantly the sound of rain pouring down gets louder as we step outside. It's gray and cloudy but not very cold at all.

"You're such an idiot," I grumble. He chuckles, "Yeah. I'm your favorite idiot," he states proudly. I lightly punch his shoulder and he does the same back to me. We walk the familiar path to our old elementary school. It's a little longer than I'd like to walk in the rain. Back when we actually went to school here we did a bus back and forth so it's not exactly a super short walk.

By the time we get to the playground Stan and I are already damp from the relentless rain. Stan leads the way towards the slide. I watch him climb up to the top and sit on the slide and hold his hands up as he slides down. At the bottom he smiles and I offer my hand to help him up.

Sometimes I wonder what life would be like if I didn't have Stan as my best friend. I've decided it'd be lame as hell. Therefore why I haven't told him that I like him yet. I will at some point but I'm too scared to loose him right now.

At this point we're both soaking wet. I can feel the water sloshing around in my shoes as we walk to the swings next. After I sit in one I expect him to take the one next to me so when I feel his hands on my lower back I flinch from surprise. "What are you doing?" I raise an eye brow at him and I turn my body a bit to look at him as he holds the swing in place. "Pushing you," he says blankly. My eyes roll playfully and he smiles with a matching energy.

Suddenly our eyes locked and the playfulness disappeared. We started at each other for a moment longer and I could feel my face start to heat up despite the being soaked to the bone. When I realize his hands are on my hips and that's how he's holding the swing in place my face is instantly hotter than the sun. Rain beats down as I steal a glance at his lips and then look back up to his eyes. His hair looks oddly good when it's wet and his eyes are still looking at me with a daring look. "Please just kiss me already," I mumble.

In silence he looks at my lips and then smirks as our lips meet. I drown in the kiss instantly and a minute later as we both pull away I see the glisten of a spit string break and fall away. I realize we're both smiling; I smile even more as I lean back in for another kiss. Just before our lips meet again he whispers, "I love you."
