Claire had been trying to distract herself for 45 minutes.

Roman, Daryl, Hershel and Rick were out there right now making peace negotiations with the Governor, and Claire couldn't take her mind off it. The hundreds of things that could go wrong, things that could get them killed, or bitten.

And Meryl wasn't making anything better. He had just finished his speech about how many things could go wrong and about how they should be out there killing the Governor. Glenn had talked him down, but Claire was still anxious.

She had done everything to keep her distracted. She cleaned her and Eli's cell, she folded their laundry, she swept the living area—hell, she even tried reading a book. None of it helped. All she could think about was how they were all in danger. All of them. The members of the group talking to the Governor, and the members here, at the prison. This could be set up for an ambush. Take away some of the strongest members of the group, leaving the prison open for the taking.

"If Michonne can do it, why can't you?"

Clair furrowed her brows at Maggie's raised voice, stepping out of her cell and rounding the corner into the common area, where Merle was shoving weapons into a bag, Glenn guarding the door.

"'Cause it's my brother out there, that's why. What's the matter with y'all?" Merle shook his head, and Claire crossed her arms across her chest, "We've all got someone out there, Merle. You think Carl wouldn't jump at the opportunity to go after Rick? Or that Maggie wouldn't go to save Hershel? We need to stay here."

Merle scoffed, "Ranger Rick has you all tied around his finger." He turned back around, walking up the steps to the gate, Glenn blocking him in. "I'm not gonna let you put them in danger."
