"You know something?" Marshall asked Chase, his boyfriend for the past six months, one day. "I'm really don't like flying."
Chase nodded.
"I know. We all do."
"But I've always wondered....what are YOU afraid of?"
Chase sighed, his ears flattening against his head.
"Nothing. It's stupid."
"C'mon," the Dalmatian pressed. "Tell me."
"Not thanks," Chase said. "I might jinx it."
Marshall shook his head.
"You're lucky I love you so much, or I wouldn't pressure you about this."
Marshall suddenly stood up, making Chase look at him.
"I guess since my boyfriend won't tell me what he's afraid of, I'll just be sleeping by myself tonight."
"THAT'S what I'm afraid of!" Chase yelled suddenly.
Marshall yelped.
"I'm afraid that you're gonna find someone better, and then you're gonna take off and leave me!"
Marshall stopped. He got it. And he smiled, and nuzzled the German Shepard in his neck.
"Chase....I love you more than anything. I would never ever leave you, and under any circumstances, would I ever find someone else."
Chase blushed, and Marshall grinned.
"Besides," he continued. "There's nobody in this world who will ever be better than you."
Chase smiled and licked the dally on the cheek.
"I love you, Marshall."
"Love ya too, Chase. Love ya too."
