Marshall was very concerned. Chase was about to go chase a criminal that had been out for weeks. The guy was surely armed, which scared Marshall even more.
What if he gets hurt? What am I gonna do? What would I do with myself?
Marshall watched as Chase jumped into his cruiser, and he whimpered.
"Please come back okay."
Chase smiled, and leaned down to kiss the Dalmatian. Marshall kissed back, the tears running down his face.
"I will. I promise."
Chase drove away, and Marshall waved goodbye, hoping it wouldn't be the last time he ever did it.
It felt like an eternity before Chase returned. And when he did, Marshall tackled him. Chase laughed as Marshall licked him.
"I told you I'd come back okay."
Marshall giggled.
"You kept your promise alright."
Marshall leaned down to kiss the German Shepard.
And the wedding band on his paw sparkled as he did so.
