Volume 5 The Reawakening and Fight for Haven Pt 1

Y/N wakes up from another nightmare, but when he did wake up, he just... opened his eyes. He gets up and sees Ruby, under the covers. He smiles before getting dressed, grabs the Red Rose Sword and heads to the training room.

As he swings the sword, he started feeling the hauntings from the sword but used it as his strength. For the final swing, the sword lights up in a flame as he destroyed the training dummy. After he did that, he feels a warmth he hadn't felt since his hometown was destroyed.

???: I see you've woken up.

Y/N looks over to see Ruby in her huntstress outfit. He smiles and puts the sword in its scabbard.

"Hey Rosebud, you woke up as well?"

Ruby: Yeah... I see you're training with Mom's sword. You're getting the hang of it.

Y/N looks at the sword as his hand holding shakes a little.

"Ruby, I--"

Ruby: Don't worry about it, I get why she didn't want me to know about it. Plus that sword suits you more then it could for me.

Y/N sighs as Ruby puts her hand on his shoulder.

Ruby: Let's have you take a break.

Y/N nods and puts the weapon on his side as they go outside and lay on the ground, by each other's side.

Ruby: I don't know if I told you this before we fell asleep, but last night. Was the best. I love you Y/N, so much.

Y/N kisses her forehead as he brings her closer to him.

"I love you too, Ruby. I really do."

Ruby smiles as the two look up at the sky relaxing till Yang shows up.

Yang: You two are up early, and seem to be having fun.

Ruby: Hey, sis.

"Sup Yang..."

Yang has her hair start getting in the couple's faces as Ruby starts to giggle. The two then sit up.

Ruby: What are you doing up?

Yang: Can't fall back asleep.

Ruby: Ah, me neither.

"Same here... Just another nightmare basically."

Yang: Oh, sorry. Though it does seem you two are closer then ever. It's so cute!

Ruby: Yang!

"I just don't want to go back to sleep."

Weiss: Well, fortunately, coffee exists.

Weiss hands a cup of coffee to Yang, then gives Y/N a cup of Hot Coco. As she was about to give Ruby hers'.

Ruby: No, please!

Weiss: Don't worry, I put a blasphemous amounts of cream and sugar just for you.

Ruby: Oh yeah. Nice Weiss strikes again.

Ruby tries to grab the coffee but Weiss takes it back with a look.

Weiss: I will pour this on you, and it will burn.

She gives Ruby her coffee as Ruby chuckles nervously. Y/N started chuckling a bit.

"Yeah that's the Ice Queen for ya Rubes. And thank you Weiss for remembering my experiences with coffee."

Weiss smiles as she sits down by Y/N as Ruby was in the middle between Y/N and Yang.

Yang: Can't believe we're actually in Mistral.
