Six Years Later...
Six years since that long night.
Jungkook hadn't seen you since that last night. You had dropped out of school. Your phone was disconnected, you even had moved out of your house. Jungkook hated how things were left between the two of you. He wished that he could take that night back and just stay with you. Talk things over, get the story of how Yoongi found out.
For whatever reason, you just disappeared from the world. All your social media was deleted, no searches, or hints of your existence. Even your parents weren't helpful. They just told him that you moved with an aunt. He tried to reach for Jin, even Yoongi. Both were unsuccessful. It took him 3 years, but he had finally moved on. Finally was able to say that he no longer thought of you, no longer searched on any platforms for any sign of you, even stopped checking on Jin's profile for any updates.
It took him awhile to move on, he had regretted so much from that night. He wished that he had done things differently. Really wished that he had stayed, wished that he hadn't ended things so impulsively. But he was angry, selfish, and annoyed. Angry that he had to see you beside Yoongi, selfish to the point where he only wanted you beside him, and annoyed that you would always back away from his advances.
He now has a new girlfriend, one that he had been with for 2 years, soon to be 3. He had met her in college, where the both of you were supposed to go, and she helped him move on from you. She had cared for him and showed him so much love. She worked hard in mending his heart and sculpted him to be the person he is today. Stronger.
He had lost contact with almost everyone from the group, except for Taehyung. They were still best friends. and still inseparable. On that night, when Taehyung followed Jungkook home, Jungkook let everything out. Stressed about everything as they sat outside on the porch to not wake his parents. Taehyung had sat and listened as Jungkook explained how it all began and how long it lasted. To the nights he would go over and the mornings he would leave. Taehyung listened to him vent, and offered words of advice. He wasn't as surprised, knowing that something was up. At the same time, he wanted to be wrong, because that was something you wouldn't do, especially to Yoongi.
Jungkook is currently working as an editor for a news station, writing reviews online and sometimes following anchors out when they go on the field. Jungkook was lucky enough to get hired along with his girlfriend, however, she was sharing beauty tips with readers.
"What about we go out to the new restaurant that opened up?" Hana asks, scrolling through her phone as Jungkook walks over and sits next to her on the couch.
"I don't know. I feel like it would be too much money." Jungkook shrugs, not fully wanting to go out to a new restaurant at the moment, more like not wanting to waste space much money at one. "And it is probably going to be packed anyway"
"Yes, true, and since when do we care about money?" She asks with a pout, making Jungkook chuckle.
"Well, since I am trying to save up on that motorcycle I have my eye on." He says nonchalantly, knowing that this was going to lead to another argument.
"I told you, you are not going to buy one of those death traps. I don't want to keep discussing it." She says with annoyance, and Jungkook knew that this was going to happen. Knew that she was going to be in a bad mood now, but he really was invested in one and really enjoyed the ones that were shown to him when he went to go test drive them.
"Babe, I'm serious. As long as we are together, I do not want you to buy one."
"Okay." He says casually with a soft smile and she chucks her phone to her side.
