Screams all around me. Blood lay around me as the smell of gunpowder filled my nose.

----1 hour ago----
"I'm going to go outside." I told my mom

"I don't care." She replied in a monotone voice.

"...right..." I replied

I walked out the door and I heard Absinth talk to me.

'My offer still stands.' he reminded me mentally

'no.' I replied mentally

'just saying.' he said

I went straight to the woods and practiced my Haki. It was getting better. I was great at observation Haki and I was decent in armament haki. After starting my Haki training I soon found out that I had conquerors Haki. I had mastered it. It surprised me and Absinth,both , that I could use it but master it in 3 weeks? Impossible. Well anime logic I guess.

I started training with Absinth's shadow duplicate when something caught my eye. It was a fruit. Most likely a devil fruit. Wow. How lucky?

I motioned for Ab to stop and he obliged. He followed me as I went up to the fruit and held it up. It looked to be the shape of a blueberry but was much bigger than it. It seemed to have shapes on it which resembled a book open to me.

Ab looked at me and said "Your not really thinking of-"

Despite the bright blue color of this fruit I took a big bit outta it.

"Oh, ok you've already popped a random fruit in your mouth. Great."

I tried testing what it was out and asked Ab to touch me. He obliged with a curious look. I felt the tips of Haki flood my brain. I was given a choice to pick though. There was many other things but I chose that since I needed to learn it anyways. Oh wait. I was gonna learn it later. Oh well.

"Do you wanna have a spar by any chance?"I asked Ab.

"Why not?" He sighed.

He came at me with a shadow sword and I blocked it with armament Haki.

He stopped.

"How'd you get that so quick? And don't go saying you learnt it cause, I've known you all your life."

"I might've gotten a copy fruit?" I answered sheepishly.

"Not to bad of a fruit." He admitted.

"You admit it!" I giggled.

"Yes. Yea I do. Now let's go get some food for you. Okay?" He asked while extending an arm.

" 'Kay!" I replied while giggling and taking his hand.

We both went to a saloon with Ab in a human form. He was a tall, white haired 21 year old man with blue eyes. He wore a jacket with a white undershirt and jeans.

We both entered and sat down at the edge of the bar. The waiter then came up to us, looked at me, then smiled.

"Hey sweetie. What can I get ya guys?" She asked.

"Ooh! I want soba! Soba! Can I get soba, Ab?" I asked practically jumping off my chair.

"Yes, yes. You can get Soba. One Soba and I would like some tempura. Thank you." He said as he smiled.

"Right! Coming right up!" She said as she started to work her magic.

As it was just the two of us I started a conversation.

"Your like a big brother." I concluded while bumping my fist onto my other palm.

"Wha- y'know what? That's not that bad. Sure." He sighed.

Giggled and liked my feet in patience.

"What would you like to be when you grow up?" He asked bluntly. For an entity that has been alive forever he was quite dumb.

"A journalist. Duh." I said as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Well with my obsession with writing. I was.

"Oh."

-Short time skip-

"Here's your food! Enjoy!" She exclaimed as she set our food out in front of us.

"Thanks!/ Thank you." Me and Ab said in sync.

"No problem!" She said and retreated to the kitchen.

Ab ate his food even though he didn't need to but still he had a smile on his face.

Me on the other hand, on my first bit flowers sprouted around me. It tasted like heaven.

Ab must've observed this, because once we were done he gave her a heavy tip.

I skipped the way home but Ab stopped me when we were a good mile away from town.

"Don't you hear that?" He asked.

I used my observation Haki and saw cannons being fired here. I also noticed a lot of Marines. One thing that scared me was that they had a picture of me.

I noticed a lot of Marine ships and vessels. This is going to be a long day.

Ab picked me up and ran towards the docks to find it destroyed. He hid and ran to the coast. Blocked. He then ran to a cave. Once he got in he noticed a Marine. Not any Marine. The mad dog of the Marines. Monkey D. Garp. Ab then dissolved into Lily's body to give her strength and support.

He knew it was risky but what if he takes pity on the girl?

Garp got up and looked at Lily. He pulled out a transponder snail and spoke.

"Found the girl. You can stop attacking." He said.

'Run!' Absinth told Lily and Lily ran. She ran home but she found nothing but blood an what used to be her mother. She ran to the streets but found destruction.

----Present----

"I guess it's just you left then?" A booming voice said as she turned around. It was Garp. He seemed to have a glint of pity in his eyes.

Tears formed in your eyes and he slightly panicked.

"Why-why don't I help you? Come with me. I'll send you to a place where it's safe. You will stay with my grandsons." He offered

You thought about it then you said "Pl-Please." You studdered to sound weak and desperate and sound like a victim.

"Come with me." He said.
