A new life

It all happened so fast. I was run over by a car. Wait my career as a journalist! What kind of bull is this? I guess I'll just wait for the rest of the eternity here. Isn't there an after life? Where do I go? At least I finished one piece. That's one thing. I still didn't get to finish Jujutsu Kaisen. Bummer.

Are those cries? Is that a child? What is a child doing in the pitch black? I'm going insane again~

I opened my eyes to see a woman with dark hair holding me with the sweetest smile. Oh. My. God. Am I the child? Damn I guess. Wait what? What am I thinking?

"Hey sweetie! It's your mom! Say hello to the world Lily!" The woman said. Funny. My name was Lily in my past life too. Coincidence? I'm way too tired to be freaked out.

Ah! I can't move my hands. Oh well. I guess I shall be in this new, weak body. A man with silver hair comes to the woman's side and side hugs her while looking at me with a radiating smile. At least I have a good family. I sighed.

"Your daughter is the wielder." Said a nurse as their faces dropped.

"Th-theres no way-" she was cut off by the man slapping her face.

"Damn woman! I was happy for a second thinking my daughter was normal! You've given life to a freak! No daughter of mine is like that!" He said before grabbing her collar, making her yelp.

"You cheated! You did, didn't you!?" He said while slapping her again.

I was shocked at this encounter. Did I just ruin a relationship? Am I the reason my mom just got left with an infant? I can't do anything to help dammit.

If only I could move.

I have to try. I put my entire energy into my hand as I tried to move it.  It didn't work.

Damn I used all of my energy on that. I can't do it.

I wish I could help.

(6 years later)

"Hey mom look at my story!" I said putting the piece of paper in front of my mom

She slapped me away and pushed me to the ground.

"Don't call me 'mom' your ruined my life!" She screamed at me.

"Sorry." I said as I got up.

I then went to my room and my best friend came from my shadow.

"Hey, Absinth." I said

"I've told you before, master. Just call me Ab." He replied in his deep voice that I've always knew.

"And I've told you, Ab, to just call me Lily." I turned the tables on him.

"I will if you do the same too. Promise?" He asked, outstretching his pinky.

"Promise!" I smiled interlocking pinkies with him.

"Well, y'know if you ever need me to kill... Take care of your mother just say-" He was cut off

"My name, yada, yada. I know, you've told me. A hundred times. This week." I said in fake annoyance

"My apologies." He replied

"Oh I was just kidding." I replied waving my hand in front of my face."Plus, no need to be so formal."

"Note taken." He said while literally taking out a notepad

"Wha-Where did you get that from?" You asked

"Huh?" He sounded.

"Anime logic. I swear." I said, not mumbling since he knew all about my reincarnation.

"Whatever." He said while writing it down.

You began to kick your legs on the air as you sat on your bed.

"You bored?" He asked.

"Yup." You replied while popping the 'P'

"Why not do a lesson?" He said as he pulled out a book from your desk.

"Why not?" You sighed and began.
