Chapter 13: Uncertainty

"You brat! You should be delighted that a great person like me have an interest to a brat like you!" The piggy viscount said as he raise his hand and about to slap Kim.

Kim calmly dodge the slap that made the viscount unbalance and fell into the seat as Kim move right.

"Kuu... You brat!" He said as he stand up and about to reach Kim shoulder when his arms fell to the carriage floor, both of them look at the viscount hands on the floor, as the pain still not registered yet because of the swift slice with a precision that the blade didn't hit the bone.

The two of stare at each other for a moment and Kim smile.

The face of the piggy Viscount distort as the pain finally reach its head.

While outside the Knights cannot hear the conversation outside while they are on guard.

Furina also on look as the Viscount invites Kim inside as he wants to reward Kim.

Furina is happy that this child she barely know is getting recognition by his lord but there is a feeling that unsettled her.

While the Knights are facing there back at the carriage they hear a commotion inside and the carriage is racking intensely.

"Huh? What is going on?" Furina who notice it ask the Captain beside him but the Captain doesn't even look and just pretend he didn't see, same as the other knights.

Furina is just a newly recruit knight as she is send to an academy before she recognized as a knight.

Here time with the Viscount soldier is just a year so she doesn't really know yet what her master did for a living as she cannot ask some private information about her master that she vow to serve as a knight.

"Captain something is going on inside." She insisted but the captain still not doing anything so Furina is about to go and check but a big arm stops her from going.

"Furina... Did you vow to respect the master you serve right?" The Captain ask.

Furina only nods understanding that its not her job to dwell deeper with her master personal private life.

"Then, just pretend you didn't see anything and just go whatever your master decide to do, do you understand?" He said while doesn't looking back at the carriage.

"Yes... Sir." Hesitantly she follow the advice and look away but she still have this feeling of unsatisfaction.

A moment later after she turn around a cry can be heard inside the carriage a shout like someone feel an intense pain.

Everyone look back at the carriage direction and suddenly it become quiet, with that scream of pain made the knight suspicious about that sound so the knight captain order his knights to look at what happen.

"My men, check the carriage." The knight captain said ordering his men and they proceed to move near the carriage to hear what is happening but the racking even a sound cannot be heard anymore, it just there standing still.

The captain have bad feeling about this and ask the nearest knight "Are you sure that you did get her weapons before she enters right?" He said and when Furina hear that she wonders but understandingly an armed person should not get near her master.

The knight that have been question show the weapon, a sword and a curvy knife.

Knight Captain after a few quiet second he decide to open the carriage to see what happen and when he does a gruesome scene present to them, blood splat everywhere inside that dyed the room in red, in the floor a naked man is lying his stomach is full open innards everywhere, his head is in the couch obviously dead and decapitated limbs is lying beside him neatly as if someone has conduct an operation.

The knight look at horror as Kim notice that the door is open she look behind her and smile at them with a small dagger in her hand.

"You!" The captain finally realize the situation and brandishes his sword. "Men ready your weapon." He said and the knight snaps out with the confusion.

Furina in other hand just there staring at the scene and front of her is the same child that again full of blood.

"Hey, do you like red?" Kim said to the knights now sword in hand then with a swift move she run toward the nearest knight.

Everyone got surprise her speed is not the same as they saw when she fights the bandit she is more faster than before and before they knew it the knight that is nearest to her has now have dagger inside his head and Kim is now riding to his shoulder and then when the body fell down she take out the knife and the blood trailing in her dagger.

"Hahahaha, how nice how nice! Red is very beautiful don't you think?" She said as she catches the blood with her hand dying hit in the process.

"Men, attack her!" The Captain said and everyone attack her at the same time.

4 men and a girl they dance in the battle field the girl made a swift move like a water flowing graciously blood flows in the air, the music is the scream of agony as their limbs is detaching with their body, the men follow the foot step of the girl as she twirl and hop in the rhythm, skin got peeled, skull been break, throat been slice and when the music of pain is about to end all four men fell down and the girl bow her head in the audience that never existed.

"That is satisfying." Kim said as the four men is lifeless in the ground. "So, why you didn't attack?" Kim ask the lone survivor.

"Why are you doing this?" Furina ask without even putting her hand on the handle of her sword.

"What else do you think? Of course it's for my satisfaction!" She said and open her arm wide as she is proud to herself.

"Satisfaction? How can you be satisfied as you take life of others? What you gain from it?" She ask.

"What else? To see there despair, hatred and Fear. It fuels my motivations, I will not satisfied if I cannot see them with those feelings... I want them to die, I want this world to die in red." She said as she clasp her hand with a smile on her face.

"You must be lonely." Furina said as she brandish her sword.

"Huh?" Kim got confused as what Furina said. "Companion is not in my desire." She said as she also ready her dagger in hand.

"I feel sorry for you as you don't even understand what I meant... Please stop this and make a new life." Furina said and started to dash of but for Kim she is slow, Kim doesn't understand either everytime she killed it feels like she become stronger.

Furina as she approach Kim, Kim didn't even need to move to avoid the attack as she knows she won't die anyway but when Furina is about to stab the sword she stop that made Kim confused but Kim stabs the woman in front of her without batting an eye.

"Kim... You must find yourself a companion that... Will understand you... So you will not be lonely." Furina falls to the ground as her stomach is bleeding.

"You are not going to hate me that I will kill you?" Kim said and something in her has change... The feeling of hesitation to kill someone... This is new to her thats why she cannot comprehend this feeling of hesitation. "Hey... Are you not afraid of dying?" Kim said desperate to make Furina fear her... Hate her or beg for her life as a desperation... She wants to feel satisfied with her urge to inject despair to her victims but...

"No, I know my life is short but..." Furina cough a blood on her mouth. "I'm satisfied." She said as she passed out.

"Tsk." Kim said unsatisfied of Furina response and move away towards the carriage.
