Chapter 8: Chaos of battlefield

"Boss this knights are far more stronger than we expected." One of the bandit raise his buckle to shield an attack from a knight.

"Press the attack, don't just swing randomly." Said by the boss as he swing his sword sideward that made the knight leader pulls back a little as he catch it with his shield.

The battle is still on going not knowing that one of them died patheticly, none of each side made a decisive strike as they both in equal footing as the knights are stronger but their number are lacking as the bandits are still 15 in numbers.

As the fight on going no one notice a girl is heading their way.

A woman knight swayed a little and lost focus and a bandit notice it and about to behead the only woman in the rank.

She brace herself on her death when suddenly a little girl has shown in the back of the man carrying a golden curvy knife.

Without hesitation the girl swing the knife on the neck with such precise. The man didn't expect the attack but the stab is shallow so he move to the side to avoid the next attack and see who attack him.

"Hmm... A little girl?" The man got surprise by the sudden appearance of the little girl and everyone also notice the presence of the girl and stops the ongoing battle then suddenly the man that got stab vomit lots of blood and fall to the ground.

"Hmm... I see, its effect is instantly huh." The little girl said as she look at the knife on her hand.

"Wait... Kurlak, you!" The boss after seeing his men slam in the dirt he got upset and look at the perpetrator then he saw the knife of the girl "huh? Where did you get that?" He got confused as the only one who have that magic weapon is Palmain one of his companion.

"Hmm... From that guy." Kim pointed at the dead man beside the bush, she doesn't feel remorse.

"You!" The boss become angry at the girl as if he is mocking him and his companion so he rush towards the girl as all of the other person in the field just watching of what is going to happen next but one girl steps out to protect the girl.

"Not on my watch." She said as she ready her shield and sword. "Thanks for protecting me, now I will return the favor." She said.

"Oh, how knightly." Kim said while clapping her hands with delight.

"Then both of you die." The boss rush towards the female knight with his big bastard sword he swing it but the female knight avoided it with ease as the boss is slow and predictable, despite her appearance she is nimble and she avoided the big swing of the bastard sword even tho one hit and she will be in half.

The other knights seeing their companion join the battle and chaos starts over.

As the battle is going the female knight now been gang up by three people.

"Occupy the knight and I will teach this brat a lesson." The boss knowing that his attack is slow command his subordinate to take care of the knight as he headed towards the girl.

"Ugh... Little girl, ran away, yaaa." The female knight tried to rush in front of Kim but she is being held by three men.

Kim only smile at the female knight then a sword swing down on her but unexpectedly she is also nimble maybe because she is lightly dress but she summersault to avoid the bastard sword.

"Pesky, little cockroach." He said as he tried to block the knife that going to him, not only Kim avoided the attack she can also manage to return an attack and the boss knowing what kind of weapon she have he cannot let the girl hit him even a single cut or he will die.

As the fight continues the boss finally manage to hit Kim with his fist as he use it as second weapon, he isnt wary of his left arms as it had a metallic gauntlet that provides protection from the knife.

Kim being hit by the metallic gauntlet got slam to the ground and the boss without hesitation stab the sword towards the abdomen of Kim ripping her stomach, blood splat out from her mouth and gapping wound as the big sword pierce her.

"Finally, you are down, pesky cockroach." The boss got satisfied and look at the other looking over the battlefield thinking maybe it will lower the mood of the knights.

"No way..." The female knight is clearly affected by the death of the girl... As a knight her job is to protect the citizen but how can she even call herself a knight when she cannot even protect a single girl.

"Watch out!" The knight leader shout as he block the upcoming sword to the girl who got distracted.

The bandit sword got deflected with the shield of the knight leader and he seize this opportunity to swing his sword and cut the bandit.

"Get a hold of yourself!" The knight leader seeing the despondent knight tried to scold her. "You are a knight and the first thing you should do is protect your master, we are still in fight, the girl jump on the battle field with her own, the field is an unfair ground no matter what your state, if you die here thats the end." He said as he look at the depressed female knight.

The female knight look a last time on the girl now with big sword on her stomach then close her eyes and resolve herself. "I'm sorry captain."

"No time to apologize, protect the carriage thats what you should focus." He said and the fights continues.

Meanwhile the hands of Kim twitches...
