CHAPTER 5, THE LONG NIGHT.

" the blood moon has faded,"
Jewel said.
" it's okay to stop hiding now"
Maisy crept from behind Jewel.
" thank you for letting me hide behind you.." she said, whilst tucking a piece of hair behind her ear.
" no one usually lets me do that" she smiled and looked down at the floor, that paced on to see scarlet and kal.
Jewel looked back at Maisy. And went to see the others too.
" have we made it yet?" Lizz complained. They had traveled for 7 hours now, and h to here was still long left.
" we have about approximately 5 hours left," scarlet announced.
" that's not so bad, is it?" Kal asked.
" well it's not the worst," scarlet whispered.
" anyway, no that the blood moon is gone, we should sleep. We haven't slept for ages" scarlet said.
" can we keep going? We need Leo!" Kal asked.
" that wasn't a question, it was an order." Scarlet took out her sleeping bag and placed it on a bare patch of earth.
The others did the same.
" do you think Leo is dead?"  Kal whispered too Maisy. She looked at Kal with a huge look of fear, but then changed to a look of kindness.
" no no! Leo can't be dead- he's an element, elements can't die, right?" Maisy said. Tho she wasn't sure if elements could die or not. Was Kal really dead? She asked herself.
" right, we need as much sleep as we can get. Everyone- no talking! Especially you, Jewel." Scarlet got in her sleeping bag and fell asleep.
The others slowly followed her and  drifted off into slumber.

The sun's streaks sneaked through the trees. The weak wind blowed at scarlets face, it didn't feel as painful as it did earlier. It was no longer dark outside, yet light. It was much beautiful when you could properly see it.
Something caught scarlets eye.
" who's there?" She whipped her head around both sides. There it was, the figure.
" who are you! What have you done with Leo!" She shouted.
The figure tilted its head.
" oh don't worry about Leo, scarlet. He is safe." The figure stepped closer.
" stay back!" Scarlet looked around for the rest of the group- they were gone.
" what?" She looked back at the creature.
" where are my friends- who are you? Where am I!" She yelled, begging for answers.
" your friends are sleeping." The figures voice was emotionless.
" you are in the ancient forest of QUAK'BR."
" whose Quak'br?" Scarlet asked, she looked closer to the figure. She saw a ring on their finger, a ring with the pattern of the ancient ruins.
" the QUAK'BR is a creature, too strong for any of us elements- he can turn us against each other, and can make us evil. But it can only work on the elements of friendship and the elements cut off, the elements of harmony have different ways to become the opposite element." They said.
" so, the QUAK'BR is my enemy?" She tensed. Was the QUAK'BR hunting them down as they spoke?
" kind of, but don't worry, Sophie has put the creature into a cage and that's why people call her the guardian of the QUAK'BR."
" who is Sophie?" Scarlet felt as if she was asking too many questions, but she was interested in the other elements- in fact, she didn't even know there was more.
" she is the leader of us harmony elements. She is known to be very strong, but one day she went missing, and people presume she is dead. But I don't think she is, after all, she has lived for centuries!"
" what's her element? And who are you?" Scarlet asked once more.
" her element, she is peace, the guardian of thy ancient ruins itself. And me, I am Opal. Element of trust." Then, opal faded away, leaving nothing but scarlet.

Her eyes shot open. It was a dream? Scarlet thought.
" finally, your awake! It's been ages! You're such a deep sleeper." Lizz laughed.
" I- I have too tell you guys something."
