College will always be something that you dreaded throughout your whole high school career. You felt yourself counting the days down until you were set free from one school just to send yourself to another one to work for the rest of your life.

Walking across that stage was the scariest, to have people applaud for you when your name was called just for you holding a piece of paper that meant nothing to you. While the rest of your group was celebrating their freedom, all you could think about was the remaining four or even six years of your life you had to spent to achieve  a livable career.

But once you took one look at the way Connie and Sasha were practically throwing themselves out of their chair when you stood in the middle of the stage, holding up your diploma. All those worries disappeared and turned into joy and excitement to spend the rest of your years suffering with them.

That was all you needed.

Was them.

An apartment with them was a dream, it was a dream long enough until both you and Sasha couldn't scrap up the money to help Connie with rent which lead to the two of you moving out to apply for on campus housing. You both got lucky since the school was willing to pay for it thanks to the sob stories you wrote for scholarships.

When picking your major, you tried your best to find something that would do well for you in the future. The amount of times Armin tried to convince you to do Marine Biology with you or when Sasha wanted you to do some arts degrees with her and Jean tagged along with it. But Connie was the one who helped you pick.

"What degree gets you the most money? Do that."

And so, Biochemistry was your choice.

And you didn't mind it except when you had to be on campus for the majority of the time, wondering when you labs were done or which small mistake the teacher assistants were going to point out to try to get you to fail.

And now, you were throwing your back out dragging the boxes up three flights of stairs and pulling them against the carpeted floors, down the end of the hallway where you room was labelled with cute stickers with everyone's name, roommates.

With the last box right next to the several you already had sitting at the front door you finally had the chance to take a breath. While you were practically gasping for some air, you patted your pockets to feel for your new key.

"You really need to workout." His annoying voice started to fill your bubble just loud enough for you to turn and give him a face filled with disgust. Not only because of his snarky comment but because he decided to show up when you finished.

"Unless you have something important to say to me, I would suggest you start helping me get these inside." You shot him one of your playful glares while you tugged out the key out of one of your pockets.

You watched him lean against the wall next to your door, watching you struggle to push the key into the keyhole. You finally pushed the door open to reveal a bland and barely furnished living room, you peered back over at the front of the door to get an idea of who the other two people were.
