Chapter 2: Goddess of the Hunt Part 1

"I'm...a Werewolf?" Roy stares at his hands.

His mind plays the course of events and he peers at his sudden Werewolf claws. He begins to hyperventilate; heart pounding and Shade grabs his shoulder.

"Brother?" Roy looks at her, sweat dripping from his forehead. His eyes dart at his fingers and they are back to normal. He was hallucinating.

"What...happened to those hunters...Kain and Byron?" Roy asked, worried by her possible answer.

"You...killed them brother." Roy's mouth drops and his neck tenses. "You saved my life but you had to end theirs to do it."

"I...I killed...somebody..." Roy puts his head down on his knees, coiling away from her. "I'm a murderer..."

"Brother, I'm sorry, if I knew this would have happened then I would have never got you involved." Shade lays her head on his back and hugs him tightly.

A long moment of silence passes. "Teach me."

Shade looks at him, confused and Roy stands up with a determination.

"Teach me to control it Shade..." She gazes at him, apprehensive. "I don't ever want to kill someone like that ever again, so please teach me to control it instead." He looks at her with resolve in his eyes.

"Okay brother, I'll teach you how to control your wolf." She joins his side and puts her hand on his shoulder. Shade balls her fists and punches Roy in his jaw and he falls back in a heap.

"OUCH, WHAT DID YOU HIT ME FOR?!" She straddles him, thighs keeping him on the floor and punches him again.

Blood gushes from Roy's mouth as Shade continues to punch him, jerking his head side to side. Shade transforms her fist and is about to wallop Roy, full on, with her Werewolf strength. She cocks back and goes in for the punch, only to get her wrist grabbed by another Werewolf hand. Roy starts growling as he looks directly into her eyes. His senses change red and he begins changing into a Werewolf. His hand grows longer and his ears pointed. His legs, arms, lower body, and neck start growing fur and his tail comes out. His snout extends and his fangs come out. Shade hurries, gets off him and jumps back onto his bed. Roy gets up and starts walking over to her. He flicks his claws out of his fingers and continues to growl.

Shade jumps into Roy and hugs him, tightly.

"Calm down brother, calm down." She squeezes him tighter and Roy slowly stops growling. He puts his head down without trouble and his body twitching.

He starts changing back and he lowers his head, slowly breathing. "That's it, just calm down."

Roy falls to his knees, exhausted. "That hurt so bad." He moans with blurry eyes.

"Yes, the transformation is painful if you're not used to it, but don't worry, with a little more practice, you won't even feel it anymore after a while." Shade kneels beside him. "But hey, you did it brother; you changed and changed back, not bad for your first try."

"You do realize, I was going to tear you to shreds right?

"It's alright, you wouldn't have done it, you love me too much. Well, did you figure it out? The change caused by raised heart rate or anger, if you learn how to control these then you can change anytime. If you want to change back then you merely need to calm down."

"Anger and heart rate." Roy peers at his hand. His heartbeat increases, his entire body trembling as the changes take place.

Shade gapes, astonished as Roy changes his whole hand easily.
