¨HEY what are you doing" My brother Kayson said, he's a year younger than me.

"Uh Destiny what are you doing here" He said as since I ignored him the first time. I looked at him but he likes to act like I'm the one younger.

"Oh, I'm just heading over to study at the library.

"Alright, well if mom or dad asks where I am tell them i'm going to my girlfriend's house." He said as he grabbed his keys.

"Uh ok, but it's not like they would ask where u are." I said as I watched him put his shoes on.

¨Yeah okay, bye. Bye." I saw him walk out of the house and then I walked upstairs to my room to grab some study supplies.

I immediately paused when I heard a voice behind me say, "What are you doing." He said. "Dad?" He barely talks to me or even acknowledges me so what does he want?

"Um yeah? Why do you sound so surprised? Anyways, can you go grab some groceries? The fridge is low."

"Why can't you?" I said as I started to get a bit annoyed.

"Why would I ask you then if u could go get the groceries, now go get the groceries before it gets late" I groaned and agreed. I went downstairs and eyed his wallet before grabbing it.

I turned around and met my mom's eyes. "Where are you going this late?" She questioned. ¨Oh, I'm just going out for some groceries, the fridge is low."

"Oh, why are you getting it? Did your dad tell you to do that?¨

¨Um, yeah.¨ ¨Why couldn't he do it?¨ ¨I don't know mom, i'm gonna go now, do you want anything?¨ ¨Get some fruits.¨ My mom was the biggest fruit lover. ¨Will do, now bye.¨ I said not even waiting for her reply as I rushed to the car.

    As I walked into the store I grabbed a basket looking at the list my dad gave me but since I was at the store, I went to grab stuff for myself as well for the project I was working on.

I walked to the arts & crafts aisle and found the poster board I needed for the project, I suddenly felt someone on my shoulder and I jumped in shock.

¨Aah! Wha- oh it's just you, sorry you startled me. I realized it was Maddie's mom and she helped me get up, "Long time no see Dez '' Oh hi Mrs Anderson, what are you doing here?

"Just getting some groceries and supplies, what are you doing here?¨

"The same, but I have a project and I need a poster board"  "Oh you know Maddie actually has one too¨ I didn't know if i should tell her she's my partner, but i didn't want her to spend more money so i did.

"Oh erm, she's actually my partner¨ ¨Oh great! You should come over, since you guys are partners and I've missed you, I haven't seen you over much. Speaking of that, why?¨

"I've just been really busy but I'll think about it." "Yes i'll tell her about that, she would be so happy!!¨ "Yeah, I bet" I rolled my eyes looking the other way so she wouldn't notice.

"Well it was nice seeing you! I hope I get to see you more often. I'll tell Maddie that I saw you¨ Thank you, I'll see you. I walked off with embarrassment.

Chapter 2 is up! I know this chapter is really short it's honestly a filler chapter. The next chapter is also a little short which I'm sorry for, I wrote these chapters when I was just starting to write so they're pretty short. Also! I know Maddie seems like one of the main characters but she's not. She's Destiny's ex-best friend
