I sit up, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. I rise from my bed. The first day of college. Whoope. (Note the sarcasm, please.)

My legs slowly shuffle across the room to meet my dresser. I change into a dark pair of flare jeans, a sky blue t shirt, and of course, my signature orange converse. I tie my hair in a low, messy bun and go downstairs. I slide down the banister and land safely on my feet. Walking into the kitchen, I remember how Zach made me breakfast a couple of days ago.

Heh.

I'll show him 'breakfast.'
.........
"Come on, we wittle Zach-Zach. Wake up!" I say, earning a groan from Zach.

"Hmph," he says, rolling over and putting a pillow over his head.

"Oh, really? But I made breakfast," I say, smirking. Zach pulls a pillow off of his face. He cocks one of his perfect, dark eyebrows.

"Are you messing with me?" He asks.

"I don't know. Smell the air," I say. Zach takes a tentative sniff of the air and smiles.

"You weren't kidding me," Zach says, flying out of the bed and down the stairs.

"I'll show you breakfast," I call after him. I walk into the kitchen, smirking. "This is breakfast," I say, waving my hand over the triple stack of strawberry pancakes. Zach's jaw hits the floor. I smirk at him. Zach does his best to compose himself and begins fake crying.

"You win, Tiger," He says.

"I know," I say victoriously. Zach finds a fork and takes a bite.

"This is good," Zach says, talking with his mouth full of pancakes.

"Eww! No! That's gross, Zach!" I say.

"What? You want some?" Zach asks.

"No!" I shout, but Zach catches me by the waist and kisses me, successfully emptying the pancake into my mouth. Zach pulls away and smirks, leaving me with no choice but to swallow. I reluctantly swallow, glaring at him.

"Was it good?" Zach asks, a sheepish smile gracing his face.

"It would have been better if I had chewed it myself," I say sharply.

"Lies. All Lies," Zach says. I take a bite of my own pancake. Gosh! I must have some sort of talent for making pancakes. Zach and I finish our breakfast. He drives me to the college and we get our schedules. After comparing them, we find a hat we don't have many classes together. I guess that's because he's majoring in Veterinarian Medicine and I'm majoring in Botany. Oh well. Zach gives me a quick peck on the lips before we part ways and I relish his minty taste.

"Bye, Tiger. Meet me at the car for lunch," he says.

"Okay. Bye, Zach," I say. He slings his backpack over his shoulder and walks away, waving at me and smiling. I sigh to myself. I turn around to walk to my classes and notice a group of girls glaring at me. I ignore them. If they want what I have, they can bring it on. I can take them.

.........
"Oh, Baby, I missed you so much!" Zach says, burying his nose in my neck. His sharp intake of air probably means that he's smelling of me.

"Don't call me that," I say.

"Call you what?" Zach asks, pressing me into his chest.

"Baby," I say.

"Why can't I?"

"'Baby' is what you call a young, wrinkly human that cries and poops it's pants all of the time. I am not a baby," I say.

"Though it would be fun to change your diaper," Zach says, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Eww! No, you pervert!" I say, whacking his arm. Zach laughs. I step out of the car and walk inside the mansion.

"Hey, Tiger, I'm gonna go check on Jazzie and the kittens really fast. I'll be back," Zach says.

"Okay," I say. Zach takes off down the hallway and I run to the restroom. Hey, it's not like I can help it. When you gotta go, you gotta go. I take my pants off and do my business. As I'm washing my hands, a hint of red catches my eye. I look up at the mirror and gasp. A note is written on the mirror.

Sometimes, the unseen is the most feared.

I touch the red writing with a shaky hand. It smears. I look down at the marble counter and notice a tube of my mother's favorite lipstick laying open. I examine it, just to be sure. I drop it on the counter and take a step back, my instinct finally kicking in. I scream out, my vision blurring around the edges.

"Tiger?" Zach's voice calls out before I hear blood pounding through my body and everything goes black.

I'm sorry that this chapter was a bit short. I hope that my fellow writers understand why I cut it off here.

The song for this chapter is Bring the Ruckus by Manafest.

Guys, if you know me, then you know that I'm absolutely crazy about Manafest. You'll be getting a lot of their songs.
