Angel wiped his tears and got out of the washroom. He pulled out his makeup kit and found some that resembled his skin tone and would cover the slap mark. He got the kit about a few weeks ago to hide the scars Val had given him, especially the ones on his face. He didn't think he would need to use them again so soon. But here he was, hiding his scars from his friends and boyfriend, again. He then put on a new outfit and his best smile before walking down the stairs.
Alastor was busy talking with his mother. He was so happy that she didn't care who he loved. Alastor's eyes lit up when he heard the clanking of boots. His mother smiled looking at her son's instant gleeful expression. Alastor turned around to see Angel and his smile faltered.
Angel was indeed wearing his black boots but he was wearing a black outfit instead of his usual pink outfits. Alastor couldn't lie, Angel did look hot in this outfit as well. He had black nail paint on his nails. His fingers had four rings. He wore ripped black jeans with a tight black crop top which had a little net at the top. He wore a black and white striped flannel shirt which was rare as he usually wouldn't wear flannels. He also had not one but two chokers around his neck. He wore black eyeliner and looked like he walked out a goth fiction. He was not even wearing his cheery smile.
Alastor walked over to him and his face instantly lit up. "Hey, buddy! What's up? Sorry, I got a little late in coming down, I was talking with my boyfriend." Angel lied. "Oh, I told my mother about us last night." Alastor said, his ears turning a little pink. Angel's face instantly heats up. "What..... what did she say?" he asked. "She is happy for us." Alastor said. Angel blushed heavily.
Alastor took him to a side, a little away from the kitchen. "So, why are you dressed in all black?" Alastor asked "Are you telling me, I don't look good?" Angel answered dramatically, forming fake tears in his eyes. Alastor rolled his eyes. "You know what I mean."
"You rarely ever wear black or dark colours. And the last time you wore it, it was due to that piece of shit." Alastor said. Angel shivered a little at Val's memory. He looked into Alastor's concern filled eyes. "I just felt like wearing all black today. I am fine, I promise." Angel replied. Alastor was unconvinced but nodded anyways.
After eating, Alastor took Angel out for a walk. Angel lives far away from Alastor in the mafia side of the town, along with Rosie. And he had rarely been out of that part except for school. Alastor took him around his favourite places. From peaceful parks to ice cream shops. Angel felt his mood a lighten a lot. He forgot the whole morning incident. All he cared about right now was spending time with his boyfriend.
"Fuck you are so cute and pretty." Angel said as the two boys stared into each other's eyes while eating ice cream. "Mon cher, you should look into a mirror. You are the prettiest and cutest boy in town." Alastor replied with a light laugh. Angel blushed. Alastor wasn't wrong. Angel was extremely pretty. He had the most gorgeous eyes and beautiful hair. And he always looked gorgeous with or without make up.
However, their mood was spoiled as they saw some people glazing at them. Yes, they were kids. But people wouldn't stop passing judgemental glares at two boys holding hands. "Ignore them cher." Alastor told his love. Angel smiled and turned his attention to Alastor. Angel felt his heart skip multiple beats just by looking at Alastor. He wondered what it would be like to be wrapped up in arms, cuddling with him to sleep. His face turned extremely red as he imagined being in his boyfriend's arms.
"Mon cher, you look red in the face. Are you alright?" Alastor asked. Angel just turned more red and Alastor smirked realizing that he was blushing. "My my, you look so adorable when you blush so hard." he added, Angel's face kept on heating up. Alastor knew how to get the blonde boy flustered. "So pretty and so cute." Alastor continued and Angel felt so red and hot, he felt he would burst into flames.
But Angel was the master of turning tables over. So, taking a deep breath and placing his hands on the table, he looked into his boyfriend's eyes. "Oh don't get me so hot and flustered. Or you might just find it hard to get away." he said and winked. Alastor chuckled and Angel joined in. The two were happy to be with each other. "Let's go walk around town again." Angel suggested and the two left after paying for the ice cream.
About half an hour later, as they walked down a seemingly empty street, the rain started falling. "Oh crap!" Angel said with a laugh and pulled them under a tree. "Wow, this is so pretty." Angel exclaimed as he noticed the water droplets falling on leaves and flowers. "Not as pretty as you though, Mon amour." Alastor said and placed a soft kiss on Angel's cheek, making him blush again. He chuckled as the taller boy flushed red again.
"Let's dance." Alastor suggested. "What?" Angel seemed confused. Alastor stepped out into the rain and held out his hand. "Dance with me!" he repeated. Angel smiled and grabbed his boyfriend's hand. The two twirled around in the rain, enjoying the sofa breeze and the feeling of rain drops. The rain's speed increased and so did their dance's speed.
Alastor pulled Angel close as they both spun around, laughing and enjoying. "You are so pretty, Mon Ange." Alastor said, cupping Angel's face. "I love you, il mio bel diavolo." Angel murmured. "I love you too." Alastor said. And just as he said it, he pulled Angel in for a soft kiss. Their lips met and Angel turned red again. But he loosened up and kissed him back passionately. But as they broke apart, Angel was shocked to see the horrified look on Alastor's face. Alastor looked like a mixture of shock and worry. "Angel?" he mumbled.
"Yea?" Angel asked in his cheery voice. "What happened?" Alastor asked, carressing his boyfriend's cheek. And Angel instantly realized what had happened. The rain and Alastor caressing his cheek, had wiped off the make-up on his cheek. "I just accidentally tumbled a little down the stairs." Angel lied. "That's a hand print." Alastor said.
Angel flinched. His eyes closed as tears streamed down his face. The black handprint was fairly visible on his cheeks. "Angel?" Alastor said, cupping his face. "I..... It's okay, Al." Angel replied. The brunette looked confused. The mark was fresh, not even that old. But he was at Alastor's home the entire time, right? Alastor remembered caressing his cheek after he woke up that morning, there were no marks then. Unless, it happened this morning. But that would mean-
Alastor's eyes widen in shock. "Angel who did this?" he asked. Angel started sobbing. Alastor pulled him into a hug. "He said, he didn't want you to be like me and then he slapped me." Angel sobbed. Alastor didn't need to know the threats. "What did you say?" Alastor asked. "I.....I said, no one can change anyone's sexuality." Angel said. "What did he say?"
Angel stayed silent for a few minutes, contemplating what to say. Should he tell Alastor about the threats or not. There was no use. But then again, if all those days and nights with Valentino had thought him anything, then it was to suck it up. But Alastor and his friends did help him out. "He..... he called me a girl. And said...... he said....... he would teach me how to behave like a good girl........And that I looked like a whore and he will....... fuck some sense into me." Angel said in between sobs.
Alastor's eyes glistened red as he held onto his boyfriend. Angel sobbed into Alastor's shoulder. He felt too torn and couldn't say a single more word. Alastor on the other hand was raging. He was used to staying quiet and watching as his father would hit him or his mother. But this was crossing the line now. No one touches his Angel.
