I took a deep breath as I pushed the keys into the ignition. I could hear Velvet rummaging around in the backseat, looking for something stupid, like a lost lipstick or nail glue.
"You ready, Vel?" I asked my older sister nervously.
Velvet looked up from her purse and smiled.
"Of course Ven! We've been waiting for this moment since we could talk! We deserve this!" She said, adjusting her position in the seat.
There was a small cough and I looked down at Velvet's shoulder pad. From inside the diamond cage, I could see Floyd glaring at me.
"C'mon man, you're better than this!" He exclaimed in disbelief.
"Why thank you!" I smirked.
"I really don't see why you're so upset, at least we're putting your talents to good use. I mean, you're welcome!" Velvet interrupted, looking down at Floyd with an evil grin.
"What? You're sick!" One of his brothers piped up.
"You mispronounced 'Thanks for not letting our talents go to waste anymore, Velvet and Veneer!'" I grinned, looking down at him.
"Come on, they're waiting for us on the red carpet!" Velvet squeaked excitedly, placing her hands on my shoulders.
"Ooh!" I squealed, pressing my foot on the gas.
"Let's go autograph some butts!" She giggled mischievously.
"Oh! That's fun! Good thing I brought my butt marker!" I pulled a marker out of my cupholder, and got disgusted looks from all the trolls.
"C'mon Ven, we're gonna be late! Step on it!" She sat back in her seat, and re-applied her lipstick.
We drove off into the night, the neon lights of the city shining in the distance. The streets were quiet, with only a few cars passing by, their headlights illuminating the dark road.
When we arrived at the Rage Dome, I could see a large red carpet leading up to the entrance. The paparazzi were already gathered, flashing their cameras and shouting our names.
Suddenly, Kid Ritz appeared out of nowhere, ready to announce our appearance. He glanced at me and I gave him a small nod of approval, signaling it was showtime,
"Alright Rageons, now is the moment we've all been waiting for; Give it up for Lifer award recipients, the tantalizing twosome, Velvet and Veneer!" Kid Ritz shouted, hyping up the crowd.
I pressed my foot on the gas, and pulled up to the start of the red carpet. In the background I could hear our famous single, Watch Me Work, playing. As I stopped the car, Velvet abruptly stood up, and started blowing kisses into the crowd.
I followed suit and stood up as well, waving at all my crazed fans. I made eye contact with multiple people, all of whom fainted. Velvet subtly nudged me in the side and I smirked.
"I love you!" A voice suddenly shouted out, strangely audible over the immense screams and shouts.
"Thank you! We love you too!" Velvet said earnestly, putting her hands on her heart.
"Okay, how's my aura?" Velvet asked me seriously, her mouth barely inches away from my ear.
"Confident, yet grateful to your teachers, and everyone who got you here tonight," I grinned, feeding into her.
"That's what I'm going for!" She said, clapping her hands together.
Velvet jumped out of the car and strutted down the carpet. Her path swerved as she paused to take a selfie with some girl. They both held out peace signs, as the cameras captured their picture. But I knew my sister, she wasn't nice like that. I received my confirmation when she walked away from the girl, scoffing and rolling her eyes.
I shrugged it off and directed my attention towards my fans. In one swift movement, I was able to pull out a paint marker, and flick the lid off. I walked down the side, giving my fans mustaches and eyebrows. I was in the middle of giving a mustache to someone, when a roar caught me off guard.
I looked up and recognized the source of the sound immediately. It was the stupid bus that BroZone had arrived at Mount Rageous in. I looked at the bus, perched up on the steps, but my eyes gravitated towards the little orange blob standing next to it.
"Bitch," I heard Velvet mutter under her breath as she approached the scene.
I moved my eyes back towards the bus, but it suddenly jumped out at me and Velvet. I yelped and hid behind her.
"Velvet and Veneer," I heard a voice say, as though projected through a megaphone.
Suddenly, the bus's mouth opened, and a small blue troll hopped out.
"Give me back my brothers!" He shouted, crossing his arms across his chest.
"Yeah! What he said!" A pink troll popped out behind him.
"You don't know what you're talking about, troll!" Velvet smirked, placing her hands on her hips.
"You're stealing BroZone's talent because you have none of your own, you big, oh you big... PHONIES!" The pink troll spat out.
I gasped and quickly used my hands to cover my chestplate. I saw Velvet's eyes dart around, before covering hers as well. We both chuckled, slowly backing away from the scene.
"We need to leave... right now!" Velvet muttered.
I spun on my heel and ran to the car, Velvet following not far behind.
I can't believe this took me two hours to write, even with the movie pulled up on my phone! This chapter is more of an intro and a filler chapter. The main story point is coming soon, and I think the next chapter will be coming out in a few days. I haven't slept in like three days, and I'm going a little crazy!
