I jumped in the front seat of our car, Velvet following close behind. She tapped the back of my seat, and I quickly slammed my foot on the gas.
I pulled out onto the street, going as fast as we could possibly go.
"Follow that luxury vehicle!" I heard a determined voice cry.
I snickered. They really thought they would be able to catch up to us? Please! But Velvet seemed intimidated, and tried to throw them off track. She hovered over me, and quickly twisted the steering wheel, causing our car to fly off the road.
Velvet looked at me, a pleased look on her face, as we landed on the road. She stood up, and I looked at her in shock. Was she seriously expecting us to sing, while trying to drive a fucking car?!
"What's up Mount Rageous?!" Velvet shouted, pointing at all our fans. "You didn't think we were just gonna give you a boring old stage show, did you?"
Oh shit, we're really doing this...
"That's what we explicitly bought tickets for!" I heard a drunk voice giggle.
"We're taking this show ON THE ROAD!" She smiled.
I sighed, before flicking a switch to start our music.
Velvet pressed the button on her shoulder pad, letting out a delighted sigh. I hovered my finger over my own button hesitantly. It was wrong to drain these poor trolls of their talent, when I had a fair share of my own.
Velvet caught me hesitating and glared at me. She'd been forcing me to use Floyd's talent because she was jealous of mine. I tried to avoid using him, usually by pretending or changing the subject. Yep, that is why we have so many yachts.
I gave Velvet a meek smile and tapped my button, lightly enough that it didn't work, but hard enough that it appeared to.
We both stood up, and I silently prayed our car wouldn't kill us.
