NoEul was diligently working at his desk, his fingers tapping away on the keyboard as he tried to focus on the task at hand.
However, deep down, his mind was still consumed by the events of the morning - the unexpected arrival of the new boss, Chaikamon.
As he typed away, his thoughts kept drifting back to the moment Chaikamon walked into the office, his heart skipping a beat at the sight of his ex-boyfriend after three long years.
NoEul couldn't shake the feeling of shock and confusion that had washed over him, leaving him feeling unsettled and out of sorts.
Just as he was lost in his thoughts, the ring of the phone pierced the air, snapping him back to reality.
With a start, NoEul reached for the receiver, his heart still racing from the unexpected interruption.
NoEul hesitated as he stared at his phone screen, contemplating whether to answer the call from his boss.
Despite his nerves, he knew he couldn't ignore it. With a deep breath, he pressed the answer button.
"NoEul speaking," he said, trying to keep his voice steady.
"Good morning, NoEul," came the voice on the other end. It was Chaikamon, the CEO.
"Good morning, sir," NoEul replied, his heart racing.
"I need you to come to my office regarding some files. Can you do that?"
NoEul hesitated for a moment, but then nodded even though Chaikamon couldn't see him.
"Yes, sir. I'll be there."
As NoEul hung up the phone, he felt a sense of dread wash over him.
He glanced over at Pete, who smiled reassuringly and gave him a pat on the back.
"Don't worry, you've got this,"
Pete said encouragingly.
With Pete's words echoing in his mind, NoEul gathered his courage and grabbed the files before heading to Chaikamon's office.
His hands were shaking as he approached the door, but he forced himself to push it open.
"Good morning, sir," NoEul said timidly as he entered, keeping his gaze fixed on the floor.
Chaikamon looked up from his desk,
His heart sank as NoEul addressed him as "sir." , his eyes softening as they landed on NoEul.
"Good morning, NoEul. Thank you for coming."
His eyes brimmed with affection as he gazed at NoEul, as if he were the most precious person in the entire world.
His gaze was tender and filled with love, softening the room around them.
NoEul felt a pang of guilt as Chaikamon addressed him so formally.
He had hoped their past relationship wouldn't affect their professional interactions, but it seemed inevitable.
"I have the files you requested sir,"
NoEul said, holding them out to Chaikamon.
Chaikamon took them with a grateful nod before rising from his desk and approaching NoEul.
Despite his nerves, NoEul couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement at Chaikamon's proximity.
"Thank you, NoEul,"
Chaikamon said softly, his gaze lingering on NoEul's face.
"I appreciate your promptness."
NoEul felt his cheeks flush at the compliment, but he quickly averted his gaze, feeling too overwhelmed to meet Chaikamon's eyes.
"No need for formalities, NoEul.
