As Noeul tiptoed down the hallway, the muffled voices grew louder, drawing him closer to the Boss's father bedroom.

His curiosity piqued, he inched towards the slightly ajar door, straining to catch every word.

Inside, Boss and his father engaged in a tense conversation, their voices laden with emotion and conflict.

Noeul's heart raced as he realized the gravity of the situation unfolding before him. He dared not make a sound, fearing he might interrupt their intense discussion.

With bated breath, he listened intently, piecing together the fragments of their conversation as they echoed through the room.

Noeul's pulse quickened with each passing moment, the weight of their words pressing down on him like a heavy burden.

Boss: "Dad, How could you plan My engagement without consulting me? I barely know this girl, and I don't like her! Do my feelings mean nothing to you?"

Father: "Chaikamon, She's a nice girl, and they're our business partners. We thought this would work."

Boss asked, "How could you do this? Why are you suddenly informing me about this now? Why didn't you tell me earlier?"

Father : "Chaikamon, given that you haven't been seeing anyone and haven't shown any interest in relationships, we thought it best to inform you later. But now, they're adamant about announcing your engagement to everyone at your birthday celebration. We've only just learned about this ourselves...."

Boss: "You think I'm not dating? I'm in love with someone else!"

His father questioned, "Oh, you're really dating? Why didn't you tell us earlier then? We could have informed the other family and declined their offer. Why did you hide it?"

Boss affirmed, "Yes, Dad, I am dating. I was waiting for my graduation to be completed before sharing the news. I had planned to tell you after two or three years, but this situation arose suddenly, leaving me with no choice but to disclose it now."

Boss's father demanded, "Tell me, who is she?"

Chaikamon took a deep breath, steeling himself for the conversation he knew would be difficult. He sat across from his father, his heart pounding with nervousness.

Chaikamon: "Dad, I need to tell you something important."

Father: "What is it, Chaikamon?"

Chaikamon hesitated for a moment before speaking, the words weighing heavily on his tongue.

Chaikamon: "I... I have a boyfriend."

His father's eyes widened in shock, his initial disbelief quickly turning to anger.

The air thickened with tension as his father's hand struck out, the slap echoing in the charged silence.

Father: "A boyfriend? Chaikamon, what nonsense is this? How could you? How can I face everyone with this? We can't allow it!"

Boss: "I love him, Dad! I can't live without him. I don't care about other girls!"

Father: "Stop this nonsense! You're supposed to marry a girl, continue the family line, uphold our reputation. How could you do this to us?"

He continued, "I understand that it's common nowadays to have a boyfriend, but in our family, I want you to have a traditional family and kids like everyone else."

Chaikamon's heart sank as he felt the sting of his father's words. He knew this conversation would not be easy, but he hadn't anticipated his father's reaction to be this harsh.
