Samar's P.O.V.
Buttoning up my dress shirt, I look at myself in the bathroom mirror. I looked like absolute shit, I had another secret drinking marathon last night from my stash that I had hidden in my closet. I had to drink to fall alseep, otherwise I could not.
"Samar," Bhai knocked on the door frantically, "Hurry, I do not have all day, I have to come back mid-day to take Ammy over to her parent's house, Wafa has already gone there."
I thought she was supposed to take Dua to her work today. "One second," I say quickly looking at myself one more time, I pick up my phone and wallet and open the door for him. "Let's go."
"Samar," Bhai said stopping me, "Please do not take your anger out on any of the staff today, I have had ten people quit this past month because of your rude behavior. So please, control yourself."
Rolling my eyes I brushed his hand off my body, "Got it," I was tired of having people telling me what to do or what not to do.
"Samar-"
"Bhai I said I got it." I snapped, "I am not five anymore,"
Bhai sighed, "Then why does it still feel like you are?" Leaving me nothing to say Bhai quickly went downstairs as Bhabhi began calling him down for breakfast. Swallowing harshly I turn to the room right beside me, Wafa's room. I had never stepped foot in there, so why was I inclined to check if she had taken her stuff or not? Clenching my jaw I reach over to turn the doorknob, when I hear, "She took a suitcase,"
Jumping alittle I turned to face Karishma who had her arms crossed, "What?" I ask trying to behave innocently.
Karshima looked at me with a bored look, "Bhabhi, she left with a suitcase."
"And I care because?" I didn't, I really didn't care. where she. went, how she went, and what she took with her.
She dropped her arms taking a step closer to me, "Why were you about to open her room door?"
"I was not," Shit she saw.
"Yes, you were,"
"No, I was not." I say firmly, "Mind your own business Karishma" I turn to leave but she was in no mood to end the conversation.
"You insult her, humiliate her, and hurt her in. every possible way, but still want her around dont you?" She continued, "Is this some sickening fetish you have Bhai? That all you want to do is hurt her, but you want to be around to see just how much she is in pain to compare if she is in the same amount of pain as you or if she is in less pain."
"Karishma,"
"What?" She snapped, "Can't handle the truth?"
I turned to face her once again, "I do not give a single fuck about her.'
Karishma tilted her head to the side, "Good, keep that in mind when she stops giving a fuck about you. then." That will never happen. "Then don't grovel and beg for her back, because the day Bhabhi stops loving you Bhai, that is the day when you have truly lost her. You will never get her back, and this step that she has taken, leaving for a few days is just an excuse to get away from you." My body filled with anger, "This is just the beginning of her leaving you, she is just gone to make up her mind."
I could hear my heartbeat clearly in my ears, "She can go to hell for all I care." I say before storming off downstairs ignoring Bhai and Amma's gaze.
"What did you say to him?" I heard Amma ask Karishma,
"Only the truth." She said, and that was the last of it, as I got into my car and drove off before they could see my anxiety build up. My hands were shaking as I desperately tried to grip the steering wheel. Looking over at my cup holder I quickly take my anti-anxiety medicine, without water, hoping they would kick in fast. I do not care. . .Waliyah can gladly leave my life, it will be ten times better without her.
