Chapter 5

As much as i want to focus on the mock trial but i couldn't.

Sure ako na si Dulce ang naka one night stand ko sa Singapore. Even her initials D. A. Hindi lang ito basta co-incident. She's real. It's her.

Ang lakas mangtrip ng tadhana no? Na sa dinami rami na pwedeng sumali sa mock trial namin today ay si Dulce pa talaga.

But..

Can she still remember me?

Anyway, we are all in awe not only how beautiful and gorgeous she is but as a lawyer too. Ang galing magsalita at magtanong — punto per punto.

Ms. Dulce stand next to the woman. "Who are you in regards to the defendant?"

The woman, is Ms. Erica. Sya ang asawa sa mock trial and also one of the lawyer- professor namin. "I am the love of his life/wife."

"Where were you on the eve of your wedding?" Tanong ni Ms. Dulce.

And my eyes couldn't stop gazing on her body from head to toes dahil para syang modelo in her skirt suit.

"I was supposed to be at my home getting ready for bed but I had to go check on some minor details for the wedding." Sagot ni Ms. Erica.

At humarap si Ms. Dulce samin, her eyes are searching. "Can anyone verify that? Did Jonny know?

"No, no one can verify. Before I went home I told Jonny that I was going to bed early."

And Dulce's eyes found mine, nanlamig ako sobra. "So, you weren't in your room at the time that they accused you being unfaithful?"

"No! I wouldn't ever commit such a horrible sin against the love of my life and disgrace my family and name." Even Ms. Erica's acting is convincing.

I feel my heart leap out my chest nang hindi umaalis ang paningin ni Dulce sakin — does she know me? Naaalala nya ako?

Sh*t.

I can't hear the last question dahil sa sobrang kaba.

Nasa final argument na kami.

Tumayo ulit si Ms. Dulce for her final argument and ask  the defendant. "Jonny, you say you saw your wife with another man?

"I did; I was scared for life. I couldn't even sleep that night." Sagot ni Jonny.

"Mm." Ms. Dulce brushes her fingers through her hair and face Jonny. "But, yet you didn't confront her. Instead, you called her out at her own wedding and ruined her reputation. "The action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation. Isn't that the definition of slander?"

Napakamot si Jonny sa mukha. "Yes, it is Ma'am."

Dulce smiles to the judge. "No more further questions.

Tahimik kaming lahat as we already know who wins the case.

"Ang galing nya at ang ganda pa no?" Bulong ni Jake sakin.

Tumango naman ako "Ah yeah." As i couldn't take my eyes off her. Sobrang ganda nya and I'm so mesmerized.

"Feeling ko bagay kayo." Dagdag ni Jake.

This time napating ako kay Jake. "Anong bagay?"

Jake laugh lowly. "As team or rival."

"Student palang ako." Katwiran ko.

"Solana." Mariin nyang sabi. "You are The Protege, you know what it means right?"

I know but i don't want to put it on my head due to pressure.
