Ozpin's Perspective

As the young man sat in front of me, Eren told us his tale of Titans and War. It still reminded me of how things were back when I was a different man, literally.

"In the end, it all came back to that same future. I became the epitome of evil and slaughtered 80% of humanity. So that my friends, my people, could live the rest of their lives how they choose, without worrying about the world's retaliation." Eren finished as we all just stared at him. He has a strong will if he's willing to go that far. His resolve even more so.

"Damn, and you're sure there was no other way?" Qrow was the first to speak. "The founder's power allows me the ability to see through past and future memories of my people. No matter how hard I tried, nothing changed. So, I continued to follow fate until I reached the end result."

I thought about his words before formulating my response."So, you became Evil, so that your friends would be seen as heroes who helped save humanity from this... rumbling. Mr. Yeager, I have seen many things in my life, but a man so determined to achieve his goals, even if it was hopeless, is something I have yet to see." A lie? Maybe, but nothing other than my own selfish reasons keeps me from giving up. the others have yet to understand that Salem is immortal and that it would have been hopeless. But now, with Eren, we just might stand a chance of truly defeating her.

"So, I assume you know about Salem then?" I asked. "Yes, I know all about you and her, about your reincarnation about her immortality, the Mai-"

"Wait, a goddamn minute!" Qrow yells out, "Did you just say immortality? As in she is unkillable?" Qrow now getting visibly more angry. I decided to try and calm down the situation a bit. "Yes, she is. I... I was hoping to reveal it to you all later on when I knew we still had a chance to train the fall maiden, but once she ran off, I fell more and more into despair. If Salem managed to get the full power of the fall maiden, it really would have been a hopeless war. I understand you are both angry and upset, I have no excuses other than my own selfish nature, which was preventing me from telling you the truth. But now, with Eren, we may yet stand a chance." I answered honestly, hoping they would at least understand a little.

Qrow was still visibly angry, and he has every right to be. "I would suggest we share this with Ironwood, professor. He deserves to know this as well, " Glynda responds with a more aggressive tone than normal. As if her recommending we tell Ironwood wasn't already enough of a reason. The General means well, but he won't be willing to accept it so easily.

"I need a drink," Qrow said before grabbing his Flask. Glynda was looking at me with pointed eyes, and then there was Eren, who was caught up in the middle of all this.

"My apologies, Mr. Yeager, we've got a lot to discuss, but at a later time. However, I do have a proposal for you, should you be interested." I told him, hoping maybe we could learn exactly what his strengths and weaknesses are. "Alright, what is it?" Eren repli
"Attend tomorrow's initiation with our students. It's a simple test; head into the forest, retrieve the artifact, and try to wipe out any Grimm that stand in your way. Normally, this test is also how we form teams, since you aren't technically a student, and there are no more spots available to accept new students currently. This is more of a test to see how well you do and how resourceful you are. You will also be given a room to stay in and will be given access to any facilities on campus. In return, you speak nothing of this to anyone. We might have a chance at beating Salem, but I'd rather not get more people involved in this war. At least, not if I can help it." I asked him. He seemed to think on it for a moment before finally nodding his head. "Alright, I'll take you up on your offer. Also, those things you guys use, what are they called, and how do they work?" Eren asked curiously, gesturing to the scroll I currently held in my hands.

"This is what we call a scroll, and judging by your expression, it would seem you have never encountered technology like this before?" I asked him. "No, I haven't, but also scrolls where I come from are usually Paper with messages written on them and not one of those things." He replied. "That would be the case if it weren't for our technology." I replied

"Well then, it would seem I have a lot more to learn about this world and its technology." Eren stated before standing.

"Alright, so where do we start?"

A/N

Alright I finally managed to finish this chapter all the editing, and proof reading done to make sure nothing is left out. So Eren will be staying at Beacon. However, unlike most stories, he will not be attending Beacon, but rather just still around for now.

Edit: I didn't realize that it completely wiped all the writing on this chapter after publishing. Sorry for the inconvenience
