About 'COEXISTENCE'
'COEXISTENCE' is the first full studio album to be released by the newly-joined eight member of BTS, Eleven. It was released in 2019, just a year after she joined BTS and two years after her debut with her previous group, KILLSHOT.
It was released on June 13, 2019 through BigHit Music. The reason Eleven picked this date was that it was the day of the official debut as BTS with seven members.
The literal meaning of the term 'Coexistence' is to live in harmony along with the others beside you. This title was inspired by the lyrics of one of the songs in the album 'To Love To Live' in which the lyrics said 'Coexist to make a perfect living, just love and a happy family'
'COEXISTENCE' consists of two title tracks 'To Love To Live' and 'High Heal Heaven': to which each had their own music video released on HYBE LABEL's official channel. 'To Love To Live,' the first title track of the album charted No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The pre-release single "High Heal Heaven" topped the national charts of 10 countries, peaking at number one on South Korea's Circle Digital Chart and at number 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
"East Atlanta", previously released as a in collaboration with social media video game ZEPETO , was also included on the tracklist. To promote the album, Eleven embarked on the 'COEXISTENCE' world tour beginning in August.
Before the official release of 'COEXISTENCE' on platforms, many fans begin to be disappointed with BigHit music for not allowing Eleven to debut as a solo artist even after two years of debut. In Met Gala 2018, Eleven attended as one of the fashion artist. In an interview she was asked about her solo debut and replied, "I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but I currently am working on an album. Look forward to it!"

'COEXISTENCE' is 32 minutes long and consists of 8 songs. Two of the album tracks are labelled explicit. It features genres such as hip hop, dance pop, EDM, chill, rock, bass house, pop-rock, stadium-rock. The album was itself produced by Bang Si Hyuk and SUGA, one of the rappers of BTS, and the music and lyrics were composed by SUGA, RM, and Eleven. V of BTS also helped in the composition of 'East Atlanta'
The pre release 'East Atlanta' in collaboration with ZEPETO was included in the tracklist, as a part of the album, but it was not considered a title track, even though it has a seperate music video. It is the first song to be introduced from 'COEXISTENCE.' One of Eleven's bandmates, V also known as Kim Taehyung helped in the composition of this song. It won the MAMA, MMA, MNET, Golden Disc, Circle Chart, Bonsang and Daesang.
The record opens with the pre-release single "To Love To Live," a hip-hop track that blends the classical Chinese instrumentals with EDM, pop-rock, and hiphop. Lyrically, it expresses Eleven's duality and the artist's growing fame internationally.
The second title track is 'High Heal Heaven.' Credits have been given to RM and Eleven for the lyrics. It is now one of the most streamed songs on Spotify, charting No 1 on South Korea's Circle Digital Chart and number 21 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
The fourth and fifth songs, namely 'Fly High Legends' and 'Genesis' were written by Eleven, J-Hope and RM. Credits given.
'Seawaves,' the sixth track of the album explored the slow ballad concept, to which it got immense hate from ARMYs.
The seventh and eight songs, respectively 'Black & White' and 'Supernova' charted at No 5 and No 12 respectively on the US Billboard Hot 100, with 'Supernova' peaking at 4 in Circle Digital Chart.
