I got up and saw Aila on the floor. What happened this time?
I thought we were all done, safe and sound. Guess I was wrong. I got up. It's a miracle I haven't bled out yet. I used a cocktail "peristhene" and felt nauseous afterwards, to be expected as it heals almost all wounds instantly, quite a miracle stimulant if you ask me.
I didn't have time to check on the rest of the AGENTS, but their death hasn't been announced, so they should be fine. I got up to the console and looked outside. What?
what am I looking at? this isn't normal. We should be in space, but all I can see is a giant mess of colours and symbols. just as soon as I saw it, it disappeared. we were now rapidly approaching a planet I don't know the name of, neither does the ship, apparently. an unexplored planet? either way, we have no other options. I try and struggle desperately to keep the ship from nosediving into the surface of the planet, and eventually, I succeed. that doesn't mean the landing was pretty though, the ship was already damaged enough, but now all lights and functions seem to have been disabled. we crash. not as bad as the first time, on Eden 227, but it's still a crash. The rest of the agents were launched across the room and slammed into the door.
"Warning: an AGENT on your team is DOWN."
oh.
oh god.
why didn't I think of that?
who was it?
will I be blamed?
I begin to panic. It seems like it was the sovereign who died.
but that's not all of it. The executioner hit his head extremely hard, and lazarus' arm is now... let's leave it at "disfunctional."
coincidentally, lazarus was the first one up immediately started yelling from the pain in his arm, or what used to be his arm. I just sat there. shocked expression and frozen face as he struggled around for the closest CTail (I'm gonna use this instead of cocktail perithene, for convenience.) but it won't work, if you noticed, I said ALMOST all wounds instantly, but this... this is not part of its capabilities. Let's leave it at that.
He used it and immediately regretted it. His arm twisted more and was almost ripped right off his body. dont use a Ctail when it is not able to solve the issue. noted. He threw up and started bleeding more, I used out the last ifak to attempt to reduce the amount of bleeding his arm was doing.
I didn't succeed. he is going to die. I know he is. it looks like he does too, as he has now gone quiet.
what do I do?
I attempt to wake up the others, and somewhat succeed. apostle woke up, but executioner is still unconscious. probably due to his head injury, and Aila is still not getting up, what happened to her?
Apostle... didn't seem to care.
...
what. is he serious? we fought for each others lives, protected each other and built a fountain of trust, and he just... doesn't care?
Sure my reaction to Drifter's death was minimal, but Lazarus is different. He never deserved any of this and is the sole reason most of us are still alive, I have worked with Lazarus multiple imes before and he has always been the kind harted Saint he is now.
In a fit of rage I threatened I'd shoot him, which he seems to have taken seriously as he immediately left, walking god-knows-where.
"Warning an AGENT on your team is DOWN"
...
There goes lazarus.
Nothing happens for a while, but I end up noticing the sheer cold, how is this place colder than a place with no sun? question for another day. I end up organising the remains of our supplies, soda , water bottles, beans, MREs, and medical supplies. There is not a lot. However. there SHOULD be enough to last a few days, possibly weeks.
