I pause for a moment.

I consider my options and wonder what is better:

do I see Aila and the Executioner?

or do I continue walking back to the spire?

sure, I should probably go talk to Uzi and N. They might have some form of answer to what happened, what I actually did.
buuuuut
I have hardly talked to Aila and the Executioner since we landed - no - crashed on this planet.

thinking again, I haven't eaten for like, at least 3 days now, due to being busy here and well... On Eden-227, yet I don't seem to be hungry nor thirsty, the questions are never ending.

I want to say I'll see Aila so badly, but in all honesty, I can't.
I mean, just look at me, covered in oil, and there is clearly something off going on with my eye. I'm not sure what it looks like. It would be so awkward, as much as I would love to talk to them right now, I just can't.

I'll make sure to visit them as soon as i can, which WILL be after I talk to Uzi and N. No exceptions.

During the walk I get really bored.
like. notibly bored.
or am I just feeling empty?
I can't tell anymore. I'm so tired
so exhausted
I need a break.

while I'm zoned out, complaining about just how bored I am, I fail to notice some black tendrils raising and surrounding me, something flashed red in my eyes before the tendrils lower again.

I'm now inside of the pod.
WHA-

"I would come out if the sun didn't kill me. I hope you are having some important character growth or something, though!"

That's N, right?

"HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET HERE??????" somone shouts, next to me, shortly after I hear some chains rattling, followed by a loud noise on top of the pod.

I didn't recognise the voice, but I can definitely guess who is attempting to lunge at me with a sword for a hand right now.

It's V.

"mighty fine question you got there...
uuuuunnnnfortunatelly I got absolutely no clue." I state, proceeding to have a small chuckle
"I have to admit, it is quite concerning, though."

By now, N had entered the pod and was staring at a bunch of flesh-like tentacles on the floor, unmoving with the Artillerist standing on top of them

"Does that have something to do with how you murdered those drones?" N asks

"Probably. not sure what was going on. I was hoping you did."
I stated

"I've never seen any of this before. What's going on with your eye?" N asks

"I'm seeing red. Other than that, it feels normal. What does it look like?"

"I think you'd have to see for yourself" as N answered, and he moved out of the way, revealing a mirror in the wall.

as he moved, Uzi began climbing into the ship

"Whhhaaaaatttt is THIS??????" Uzi asks

"uhhhh"
"yes" I respond

I turn away to look at the mirror  its quite a fancy mirror. it doesn't really suit the interior of the ship, but regardless I look at my reflection and I see: some weird mass on my eye.

it's red and flesh like, looks wet but is as dry as my skin and has weird vines that look like they sprouted from my eyeball

"wow that looks like it hurts, thank god I don't feel it, and thank you two for telling me to go here first."
"I'd have ended up shot with Aila and the Executioner thinking I'm one of those weird Reikgon shadows or whatever"
