The ending, but also the beginning?

we rest for the few seconds we have in our small, and exposed bunker. We are ready. Evacuation begins today.

"last checks, have we all got what we need?" I ask, wanting to be 100% curtain

"Yup!" Lazarus answers
Lazarus is a kind soul, focuses on supporting the peaple around him rather than himself, even now, in a situation that can be compared to the apocalypse, he chooses support.
He wears a white and red shirt and a large, thick black coat to keep himself warm here, the sun died a long time ago after all.

"What exactly are we preparing for again? I thought we was just leaving." sovereign asked, and is quickly answered.

"you really think the scavengers or that weird cult will just... let us leave?" executioner answered, slightly irritated.

Sovereign wears a white Tshirt and a blue pair of jeans, god knows how he hasn't died to the cold yet, but he hasn't. Infact he has repetedly reassured us that he is comfortable with how little he wears.

Executioner on the other hand... wears much, much more professional clothing and equipment. his suit is almost completely black, classy. he wears night vision goggles, red glow on the end of each glass.

"What are we gonna do after this?" Drifter asked, oblivious to his future fate.

"Hmmm... I'm not sure, probably retire in all honesty. being stranded here has been the worst part of my life by FAR. if this is possible to repeat then I don't want to stay working with the AGENCY. but then again, I might get thrown into SOF eventually if I do." I answered, stuck in a hard place, given hard decisions and no alternatives.

"Warning: hostile forces approaching" announced the AGENT V2 device, a device implanted into all of our watches.

you could physically hear the "SafeZone turrets" disabling, they are not actually that practical in forms of base defence. they power down too often.

Drifter was the first to get up, cloaking himself and walking around the storage container to the large entrance.

the bunker was not really small, but not large enough for us all to have personal space nor privacy. it was made of 2 rooms, the main room where we all exist in, and the side room we use for blueprints. Apostle often goes over there, alone. not entirely sure why, but he does.

we all have our own cybernetic enhancements.
mine is the "M.A.G.N.U.M impusa vana" an extremely powerful pistol with theoretically infinite ammo, however, it has a decently long charge up or "cooldown" after being shot.
the Drifter's is the "Anchor RSB", not entirely sure what it does but it makes him virtually invisible, and grants him some form of weapon.
the Executioner's is his mask: the Kill-Warrant GPNVG-M42. it allows him to claim some form of bounties, since all the scavengers here are criminals.
the sovereign and the apostle don't actually have cybernetic enhancements, but can do some really strange stuff.
te sovereign can turn his victims into vengeful spirits to fight for him
while the apostle summons some form of undead demon-looking thing which uses a pitch black scythe to kill enemies.

back to the story.

suddenly, outside of everyone's expectation we heared gunshots, followed by Russian yelling. we all knew who this was. "Yosef" previous teir 5 AGENT, betrayed te AGENCY after coming to Eden 227 in the 3rd wave.

Well got up, we had no choice, Drifter is undoubtedly extremely wounded, possibly in danger of losing his life.

I got my guns ready, executioner got his melee weapons, lazarus prepared his buffs sovereign readied his cursed knife while the apostle did his job.

we got out of cover (the supply crate/shipping crate) to see the worst possible scenario, the drifter with both legs wounded, in the middle of the open.

as I aimed my M.A.G.N.U.M Yosef began gunning down the remains of the Drifter. I made certain to hit him in the skull, to watch his head explode since the fool had no headgear on.

"Warning: an AGENT on your team is DOWN", the AGENT V2 device announced.

the shot landed, and Yosef was immediately killed. the scavengers however, where another story. They where all enraged by Yosef's death, which is somewhat understandable I suppose. a large, painful and long battle of screams, and we (eventually) emerged victorious. that doesn't mean there was no casualties, obviously. Drifter had died, lazarus has a serious hand injury, executioner was stabbed in the leg, though he should be fine. we have supplies for that afterall. I had taken 2 bullets, one to the leg and one to the chest. again, should be fine. cocktail perithene should be able to heal that in a matter of seconds, though I'll feel terrible afterwards.
sovereign and Apostle where relatively unharmed

Evacuation protocols are now in action.

FINALLY. God, why couldn't this have came erlier? we lost drifter mere muinets ago. I'm used to loss, I'm a AGENT after all, and I didn't know him perfectly well but... damn, man, we survived an entire 10 days on this hellhole and he had to go out in the last few muinets... that's just plain depressing. but then again, everything on Eden 227 is.

we all readied ourselves as I called for Aila. but, as soon as I tried to, she landed infront of me. never really figured out how she does that. we got all of our supplies and entered she ship, but the autopilot would have taken too long to take us off the planet, sin, also known as the Reikgon's cult would attack before it left, they would be devastating right now.

"I can fly it, get out of the way." Aila stated.

And so we did, it's not as if we could or would argue with that, none of us knew how to fly the ship, we all had no energy and we trusted Aila after all.

We all decided to rest while she flew the plane. we all deserved it, after all.

...

I wake up to alarms..? God damn it.
