A/N - Aki/Kazu : I'm really scared to even ask Ven to check my sentences and help me with this fanfic cause I GENUINELY FEEL LIKE A BOTHER and he has many exams, but I feel bad if I had to do this alone when it was somewhat his idea to begin with, to make a fanfic together. Maybe I'll remind him at times  to check up on the fanfic and give me ideas and stuff but one thing's for sure I will not force him or stress him with it...

˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖  Kazuha P . O . V :  ˖⁺‧₊˚♡˚₊‧⁺˖

It's dark, there's nothing around me. Am I still sleeping? I cannot wake myself up. I can't move either, but I can feel myself move. Where am I? I struggled and struggled to get my body to move a single bit, but no chance. Today was meant to be the day to somewhat celebrate with Scaramouche and Aether for Scaramouche's one year having a job with us, and now I can't even get up to do so.

I heard a voice, and footsteps are heard in the wind. Everything fell silent as soon as I tried speaking, yet was unable to. I fell in shock after the voice started sounding familiar. "Hey Kazuha! Seems like you're pretty much awake. Don't get so worried I won't personally touch you, I'm not interested in you at all. You were simply... an obstacle to my main quest"

It was visibly that Tartaglia guy! That voice is surely his. I was attempting asking him why is he doing this, yet to no avail, my mouth was taped. "Shh! don't be so loud I can't hear the sound of the lightbulb trying to keep itself on" he said. Does he think this is a joke? At least he took off my mouth tape, and took off my blindfold, being exactly who I predicted it was.

"What's wrong with you?! Firstly threaten me, and now-..." I really tried keeping my calm but getting kidnapped was not a part of the script in my mind. Right, the day where he threatened me to not be friends with Scaramouche in the notherland bank, as he's a "heartless puppet" by how he described. I really think otherwise, Scaramouche is so humane I actually enjoyed spending time with him.

"Ahh, well you still don't know anything about my dear comrade Scara do you?" He smiled at me as soon as he spoke, reffering to the time he threatened me. Yes, I may not know much about Scaramouche, but... I'd like to know more. I spoke up taking a deep breath, proceeding to stay calm. "No, no I don't but I'm sure he has his reasons to not share everything about himself."

"Well, he indeed has his GREAT reasons to not share. Do you know anything about why we were mostly after you and your cafe?" The ginger guy mutters under his breath with a grin, something felt very off. Why today? When all 3 of us had a work day and a day to spend Scaras one year working with us? Was it something to do with Aether? Scara did indeed seem suspiciously odd around Aether, yet I never quite questioned it as it was in Scaras nature. "No. We're all just friends, we just wanted to spend time together?" I spoke up the most calm I can try to break free. Before Tartaglia could respond, he got a call , and told me to shut up. It sounded like Scaramouche! I felt the urge to ask him what's going on but that would get me in trouble now wouldn't it.

As Tartaglia acted dumb as if he didn't hear what Scaramouche heard, Tartaglia put the phone on speaker and asked Scaramouche to repeat, so Kazuha could hear too. Only for the spite of Tartaglia to break them apart. "I finished killing Aether, what didn't you hear you idiot?" Scaramouche stopped as he heard his voice echo in the dark halls of the chamber. "You are not on speaker down there are you..." Kazuha sat there dumbfounded , speaking up finally "Why?" Scaramouche sighed as he knew Tartaglia did this on purpose. Scaramouche closed the call leaving silence fill in. Kaedehara was almost crying, it was Aether afterall, they were like siblings! 

After a long while, Scaramouche arrived to the place and slapped Childe as the first thing to do. "Fuck you too buddy!" Childe said with a smile before leaving the room, getting ready to go to their appartament to get their stuff to go back to Snezhnaya as soon as possible, cause they were most likely on the limit of time with this quest. Scaramouche untied Kazuha and tried to explain this in the most kind way possible, which is not really kind at all. "You we're just an obstacle in the way of my main reasonings being here." Kazuha seemed angry- it's not something anyone would really get out of a calm person as Kazuha himself. Out of spite Kazuha answers by slapping Scaramouche, leaving only the echo of the slap and his bitter words "You really are just a heartless puppet."

Kazuha most likely didn't think what he was saying. Scaramouche felt an emptiness in his stomach by that slap and his words. Scaramouche knew he couldn't really leave it to this only, that was just... too bitter of him. Scaramouche ran up to where Childe was getting their stuff ready, and Scaramouche handed his quest paper with a tick "You give this out on my behalf. I'm staying in Liyue for a bit longer than needed. And you know it's your fault, so least do this for me." Childe nodded and whistled his way out as if he had done nothing.

Scaramouche woke up more exhausted than ever, looking at the paper in his hand  "Please accept this letter as a formal notice of my resignation from my position as a bartender at Liyues Cafe, under XXX. From the day of 06.19.2024 will be the day I will no longer work under the company. Thank you for supporting me so far. Yours sincerely , Scaramouche." Then looked at the calendar. It was today, Scaramouche retired from his job as he couldn't keep it up, but Scaramouche just didn't want Kazuha mad. Scaramouche got up and walked to the cafe in hope he might be there. On his way he found a special flower "Lunaris Blossoms". After reading the description of the flower, Scaramouche thought that will be an alright try. Said as done, Scaramouche got them and walked to the cafe, and found a girl with Kazuha instead- working. Scaramouche got confused on who would this be, as Scaramouche worked for a year and never saw them. Kazuha was teaching her how to use everything and taught how to make some coffees, just like how Kazuha taught Scaramouche before. It kind of hurt Scaramouche

Once Scaramouche walked up to order, he ordered what he firstly ever ordered from the cafe, when Kazuha and Scaramouche firstly met. Instead, the girl took the order, by Kazuhas request "You take it Lumine, I'm a bit busy." It was a bold lie just to not make eye contact. Once Scaramouche took the coffee for outside, Scaramouche gave the flowers and asked Lumine to give them to Kazuha from his behalf. Lumine seemed surprised that they knew eachother but nodded. "Here you go Kazuha! They gave you something. Did you know them?"

I looked over to see some flowers for me, they seemed in good condition as they were fully bloomed and fresh, and their smell was very strong, none was wiped away. I took them and looked at them. As much as I don't want to see Scaramouche for what he had done to my brother figure, I do want to be his friend again... It just still hurts. 

Once the shift was over I patted Lumines head and let her leave with Paimon still upset as I am. I  got home and put the plants in water, even though I'm unsure how they work, as they're fully bloomed in and out of water. They are pretty, but I'm not sure wether to forgive and trust Scaramouche. Is he really trying to change?... This just feels wrong. It's so sweet, but yet so bitter. That's how my love for you feels, too.
