Chapter 3

“I am glad it's you Jimin since I know you won't do anything bad to her” Minho said with a relieved sigh.

Y/n was currently in the kitchen and making something for them while Minho and Jimin were sitting in the cafe.

“Why are you relieved if it's me?” “You don't know Jimin. Since middle school she has been bullied because she can't speak and hear. Many people became her friend only to bully her later. That's why I don't want such people near her. This is the reason I wanted to meet you when she said she got a new friend. But now I am relieved”

“Don't worry Minho, I am her friend now so now I will also protect her”

“Thank you so much Jimin”

“Btw how did you both meet?”

“I actually went to the bookstore to get a book I wanted...but I found that it was already taken by someone. When I was about to go, I saw her reading that book. I asked her to give that book to me for one day so that I could finish it. But when I asked her she didn't reply. I knocked on her desk and then she looked up. I asked her again but she again didn't reply. She wrote in her notebook that she can't hear and speak. And that's where our friendship began”

“I am shocked to hear that you also read novels like her”

“What's so shocking about it? Many people do”

“Yeah many do, but I haven't seen YOU reading novels”

“It's because I read them at night. They are really amazing”

“You both really do have some common interests”

Soon y/n came with snacks for them and then they spent time talking.

Next day

“Thank god you came today!” Minho exclaimed when he saw Jungkook coming into the cafe. 

“Why? What happened?”

“Yesterday you didn't come and the girls were asking me about you!” Jungkook chuckled and then went to the front to sing.

Everything was the same. He was singing his song and everyone was attracted to him. All the girls who were waiting for him only were admiring him with a smile on their faces.

Except one.

Y/n was too engrossed in her book to notice that someone else was singing today instead of her brother.

She didn't go to school today because she got late and thus Minho asked her to take a leave for today.

(If you all are confused, Y/n and Jungkook are 1 year apart. Y/n is in 2nd year of high school and Jungkook is in last year of high school. Minho and Jungkook are of same age but he left school to run the cafe)

The song ended and people clapped indicating they liked his voice. Some gave him compliments. He smiled at them until his eyes landed on the figure who was not even 'listening' to his music. He frowned.

“Is she not interested in music or does she not like my singing?” He thought in his head.

The girl tilted her head a little bit and he saw her face. She looked.....ethereal. He forgot that he was in a cafe and there were people in front of him, he was just focused on her.

Jungkook's pov

I couldn't move my eyes away from her. How can it be possible? Whenever a girl talked to me and flirted with me, I always declined. I never got interested in any girl. This was the first time that someone has got me attracted to them.
