Shin was confused on why Nishi was dressing him in a dark blue robe and different earrings than he was used to. The robe went down to the small of his back and had a hood. While the earrings were dark purple and had crystals dangling from them.
"Where are we going Nishi?" Shin asked curiously. Nishi gave a bright smile and said, "We're going someplace special."
"What kind of place?" Shin asked. Nishi chuckled and said, "A divine place."
"Oh, but why do I have to wear this?" Shin asked pinching one side of the robe holding it up and pointing to the new earrings. "Because it is only fitting to dress this way for a place as special as the one we're going. Now, save your questions for when we're there shall we." Nishi said with a smile while dusting Shin off.
"Okay!" Shin exclaimed raising a fist in the air.
"Are you two ready?" Nanami asked with a knock on the door. "Yup! We're ready!" Shin said excitedly. Nishi smiled and picked Shin up in her arms, walking out the door to Daikaio and the others.
"All set." Nishi said as she stood next to Daikaio and they were teleported, along with Nanami and Kita.
Shin opened his eyes upon arriving in the new place and saw luscious grass and a bright blueish purple sky, but in the middle of it all, there was a towering tree that seemed to emit divine energy.
"What is this place Nishi?" Shin asked as she set him down. "This is World Core. The place where Kais are born." Nishi said.
"Oh, so I was born here?" Shin tilted his head. "Yes sweetie you were born here, from this tree called the Kaiju tree." Nishi said pointing to the big tree in front of them. "How was I born from a tree?" Shin asked confused.
"You see those fruits up there?" Shin nodded and Nishi continued, "They're called Kaiju fruits. Kais are born from those. And do you see that golden fruit? Supreme Kais are born from those golden fruits." Shin nodded and asked, "But why is there only one of them?"
"Well sweetie, Supreme Kais are rare." Nishi said as Nanami walked up.
"Yes, and do you know why we're here Shin?" He asked.
"Hmm? No." Shin said. "That golden fruit is going to fall today. And a new Supreme Kai will be born from it."
"Really!?" Shin exclaimed with a bright smile. "Yes. But you'll have to catch the fruit before it falls. Can you do that?" Kita asked.
"Yes! I'll catch it!" Shin said jumping up.
They all sat and watched the fruit until sunset, not seeing any movement. Shin gazed up at the tree and asked, "Nishi, why do I feel divine energy coming from the tree?"
"You feel that energy because this tree is what creates the Kais. Our divine energy comes from this tree, and as long as it's still alive we'll have our divine powers."
"But what happens if someone hurts the tree?" Shin asked. Nishi looked at him and said, "Sweetie that can't happen, no one but the Gods can get here."
"But what would happen to us if someone did?" Nishi sighed and said, "Sweetie...we would lose our powers."
"Oh...well then it's a good thing that no one can get here." Shin said. "Yes, it is a good thing." Daikaio intervened with a smile. "Now, watch the tree Shin. I have a feeling that the fruit will fall soon."
Shin's eyes widened and he brought his gaze back to the tree when Kita put a hand on his shoulder and said softly, "Emit your divine energy Shin." Shin tilted his head, "Emit my energy?"
"Yes Shin, your energy will help the Kai stay calm." Nanami said. "Okay." Shin said standing up. He took a deep breath as his aura surrounded him in divine energy.
They all watched the tree with sharp focus and suddenly the fruit twitched on the tree and fell. Shin gasped and dove to catch it. When he reached out and caught it he fell to the ground on his stomach.
"Shin are you okay?" Nishi asked kneeling beside him. The fruit twitched in Shin's palms, and he felt the soft fuzz on it. He gasped and said, "It's moving!"
They Kais gathered around him and watched as the fruit was enveloped in a golden glow and light purple mist swirled around it. Then, a little baby girl emerged from the fruit. She had light pink skin, pointy ears, and white hair just like Shin's. Shin gazed at her in awe as she opened her eyes. Slight tears fell from her eyes as she was brought into this new world. Shin brought his hands up and wiped her tears and said, "Her eyes are purple. She's so cute!" Shin said as he held her in his arms. She stopped crying as Shin held her and cuddled against him.
"I think she likes you, Shin." Nishi chuckled. "What are you going to name her?" Shin looked up and tilted his head. "I get to name her?"
"Yes sweetie, now go ahead and think of a name." Shin thought for a moment and said, "I think I'll name you Shay. How does that sound?" Shin said with a smile as he held Shay up.
"That's a beautiful name, Shin." Daikaio said as he placed a hand on Shin's shoulder. "Does this mean I have a little sister?" Shin asked. "Yes, you have a little sister!" Nishi exclaimed hugging him. Shin held Shay in his arms and looked at her with the sunset behind her as he cried joyful tears. "You're super adorable Shay. I'll be the best big brother ever!" Shay laughed and put her arms around him in a tight hug. "Alright you two it's time to go home." Nanami said picking him up.
"She's tiny." Shin said as Shay cuddled him. Nishi laughed and said, "Of course, she's a baby."
They teleported back to the Sacred World of the Kais and Shin tucked Shay in his bed. "Alright Shin, it's late. Try and get some sleep sweetie." Nishi said kissing his forehead. "Okay Nishi. Goodnight." Shin said hugging her and laying down next to Shay. Nishi tucked him in and said, "Goodnight sweetie." Just as she was about to leave Shin spoke up,
"I love you, Nishi." Nishi turned and smiled brightly, "I love you too, Shin! Aww, I love it when you say that!" She ran over to him and pulled him into a tight hug and planted kisses on his cheeks. "Oh no, not again!" Shin said laughing as Nishi rustled his hair. "Alright Shin, goodnight." She said as she closed the door behind her.
Shin flicked off the lamp and fell asleep next to his new baby sister.
"I love you, Shay."
